Kept the other birds out
Bought this to scare off a cardinal who kept banging into his own reflection on our window. He did not return. Happy with it. Has held up in the rain and is beautiful

It works
It looks like a real owl, the pigeons stay away. Only wish there was a better way to secure it to my balcony rail, a way to zip tie it would be great.

Protecting my Balcony
I bought this guy because a cardinal would continually attack the windows on my balcony. The theory is that he could see his reflection and interpreted that as a rival cardinal. I tried a bunch of other things to prevent this. Curtains, sun catchers, etc. Nothing worked. Unfortunately, he left a ton of poop all over my balcony chairs and cushions. I put this owl on top of the railing in a flower pot to act like a "scarecrow," and the cardinal has moved on. My owl is doing a great job of protecting my balcony - at least from my attack cardinal.

Nice looking owl
Most of the decoy owls on the market have very strange eyes - other birds don't notice the "scary eyes' - LOL This one is most realistic one I have found. I came back and ordered a second one. I find we have a lot fewer doves hanging around. It has no effect on sparrows. I was hoping to keep sparrows away from building a nest in their favorite spot between our awning and eave. Nope this isn't scaring them away. But I'll take fewer doves-- we had so many doves before !!! Even if the owl doesn't totally do what we were hoping for they are so realistic we like looking at them ourselves!
