This book has a lot of information and ideas. However too many charts and unneeded filler. My husband appreciated the book!

I love this book. My dream is to renovate a van and this book give you expertise in learning how to design, add in functionality and even do basic electrics. Obviously you want someone to look it over but this is THE book if you want to save a lot of money on your diy build. Good luck and happy trails!!

Book arrived in a timely fashion, however the thin plastic shipping bag allowed for damage on the corners of the otherwise new book, hard cover version. The book gives a good overview of information on all the topics related to surviving and thriving in van life. Many comparison charts on various topics gives a much clearer picture of the possible costs involved in builds for a variety of homes with wheels. As always, I skim a new book, then dive in for real. I'm only through chapter 2 and enjoying every page.

If you're in the United States, note that price approximations are given in pounds, not dollars, as this book is from the UK, and the vehicles used as examples in some cases differ from what's available in the US. However, the descriptions of the various projects and ideas are just as good no matter where you live. Many people who read this, including me, will probably never be able to own a van like this, but it's still fun to read and imagine.
