An illustrated guide to the best ways to rid society of the undead, this book takes a pop-culture bite out of the trend that just won't die. It doesn't take a lot of braaaaaaaiiiinnnns to recognize that society is feasting on zombie culture. This accessible, affordable, and Gorey-like (and gory) book showcases inventive methods to off everyone's favorite lovable, decaying undead. More sidesplitting than an evisceration, 101 Ways to Kill a Zombie will keep readers laughing throughout the upcoming apocalypse. Review: Original and Funny (Even for a Zombie-Hater) - Bought this item as a gag gift for a friend who is into Zombies - Made the mistake of opening it up and reading it. Now I get to order another one for my friend because this copy is going to be living on my coffee table. The writer and illustrator had me at "Axe Body Spray" (my husband teaches 7th grade and their overuse of this personal care product would turn back even the most motivated of the undead). I am NOT a zombie fan. I don't really get the cache of the movement, I guess, but I am definitely a fan of this book. Pearlman and Urban take what could be a silly trope and breath new life into its (un)dead body. Review: Ha! - This book makes me laugh, it just makes me laugh. The Willy Wonka zombie death – just wrong. But so funny. It caught my eye when desertcart put it on my recommended list because I’d purchased batches of another one the author’s book (Nerd Haiku - which cracked me up so much that I gave it out to folks brave enough to sit in the front row in my tax seminars; turned into a great ice breaker). I’d definitely recommend this book as fun one to have out for friends to flip through. It’ll definitely have them giggling as they say "no, no, that's not right, it's just not right."

plagiarism at its finest.
This is a very un-funny version of a book that has already been written. It's pretty sad that this writer can not come up with his own ideas. Don't waste your money... there is a much better book by a much better, much funnier writer/artist.

As Funny and Creative As The Day Is Long...
Whether it’s in Kiplinger or the New Yorker, this illustrator's work is absolutely transformative to any page upon which it resides. That said, when I saw that Mr. Urban had illustrated a book about zombies, I was of mixed minds. On one hand, I thought it would be great to see dozens of his illustrations in one place rather than just a single dose, but, on the other hand, I definitely don’t really “get” the whole zombie thing. After having bought the book and made my way through it a few times, I have a couple of observations: (i) whether you like zombies or not, this is some of the freshest, funniest, most creative illustration work I’ve seen – anywhere – for a long time; and (ii) like Urban’s other work, the pride of authorship and level of detail are peerless. Exceptionally well done.

Wer Zombies mag und Einhörner und einfach einen guten Sinn für Homor ist hiermit gut beraten. Kann man gut selbst behalten oder verschenken.

Excellent. A good drop in drop out books for adults, although kids love it too. But the kids don't get all the in jokes and movie references. Great book for your coffee table, in the guest bedroom or by the humour books in the bathroom.
