Solves my filing problems
Excellent product. I have both the 12 and 24 pocket expanding file folders. I actually have 6 folders - 2-12 pocket & 4 24 pocket. I have organized one with the receipts for taxes. The other for home files, charge accounts, recipes and so on... The others are for my business, since I have a publication marketing business I have many documents on marketing, publishing, editing, etc. I keep them handy for my clients and utilize two of the 24 pocket folders. I utilize one 12 pocket for current projects & clients. I intend on buying more. These can easily be transferred to filing cabinets. I purchased these first so I would know how many and what types of filing cabinets I needed.

24 pockets make it great for organizing and categorizing.
This expanding file folder is great for those that need something small and compact. The large number of pockets and tabs let you organize a wider variety of paperwork. Also the different colors are nice for helping you remember and differentiate between pockets. It expands and stands upright without falling over, there is no cover so this is not designed to be carried on the go. It works very well as a lightweight filing system where a larger file cabinet would be out of place or not possible. The polyester and polypropylene material is durable and has held up to use well so far. Recommended for those that are trying to get organized and are limited on space.

Great for classroom use!
I have used this product in my classroom all year to keep papers and lesson materials organized. They have held up very well and I will be able to use them next year as well. They have a vent slot in the compartments but nothing I've put in them has gone through them. I love that as I use the papers I can collapse them. They also stand vertically so my papers are not bent, or crumpled, even if they are in them for several weeks. I highly recommend this to teachers who need a filing system.

Lots of filing pockets.
Expands well. Lots of pockets to file in. I keep in a cabinet near the floor so when I pull it out onto the floor it immediately expands fully. Or you can keep it squeezed shut when you pull it out but it will expand fully when you let go. I think the plastic it is made of could be more sturdy.

Inexpensive Sorter
This inexpensive sorter does the job I need to sort musical charts; it helps me alphabetize the sheets before putting them in three-ring binders; the only drawback is that some of the letters share space [slots], but it still works well.

Used to Replace Filing Cabinet
I've had to get rid of my filing cabinet yet I still need to be able to file bills and papers. I bought this to give a try. So far, so good. It's easy to take anywhere in the house, especially when I'm paying my bills. By only suggest would be to have an optional elastic closure on it to hold the files together. I like that it doesn't have a top on it that I have to open and close. It's very easy to use and it has very nice colors

if you would like. Otherwise
I bought this to help my parents with the organization of their papers. You can write on each little tab, if you would like. Otherwise, you get what you see. It seems like a good quality and fits all my papers, which is all I ask of this. When you expand it, it still sits flat on the surface, which is great. It will stay to whatever you expand it to, but you can also contract it in to make it fit where you need it.

Price is right for rudimentary organization help
Yes, 8.5x11 stick up over the alpha tabs, and my recipe cards are that size. This still provides the organization and portability I was looking for.
