Electrolux
I have had Electrolux vacuums for the past 25 years all lasting over two lasting over 10 years. I bought this vacuum in 2019 abs it’s lasted only 5 years. Inside the nozzle tube gets clogged very easily causing me to take the hose off and unclog it. The hose is not easy to take off at all even though it should discharge once the two sides are squeezed and now the connector on the carpet head has come completely undone. I’m really disappointed in Electrolux. I believe the company was bought out and they just aren’t making them like they used to. I would not recommend.

Low Quality High Price
The power head of the vacuum was very cheap on the first use it wouldn’t hold up anymore and creaked loudly. I had an old Electrolux and loved it which is why we choose this brand again. The quality has went way downhill. My last vacuum was half the price and much higher quality material. Do yourself a favor and get a Kenmore or Miele.

Great Vacuum but inept company!
I would give the vacuum itself 5 stars (so far) but I wouldn't give the " company" ( the manual, the website to register the product and the information printed on its carton) a one star. But as far as the vacuum goes I would recommend it and buy it again. But I felt this information (what I went through and almost missed) might help others and if I gave it 5 stars you might not read the review. SO, a FIVE star vacuum with a ONE star company behind it! First, Amazon listed the bags for this vaccuum as the EL200C which I ordered. That's NOT Amazon's mistake because the outside carton lists EL200C as the correct bag but the product manual contradicts that. See attached phootos. The photo from page 15 of the EL7085B manual clearly says not to use PAPER filters in this vacuum. The photo from the EL200C carton confirms they are PAPER. I had to return them and had a hard time finding genuine Electrolux synthetic bags. I ended up spending over $40 for 6 bags and 2 motor filters ordering directly from Electrolux but I also ordered 12 synthetic bags via Amazon from England for about $2 each. I "hope" to find they are genuine and equivalent. Of course it is "possible' the information from page 15 saying NOT to use paper S Bags is WRONG. Page 5 of the manual simply says to use S-Bags and does NOT caution against paper S-Bags and of course the exteior carton lists the EL200C paper bags as the correct bag so MAYBE the error is on page 15 but I want to err on the side of caution and not use cheaper bags that might void the 7 year warranty. It would be nice if Electrolux would chime in here because their manual and carton contradict each other. Now to register the product: When I try it won't except the model number listed on the manual (EL7085) or the model shown on the bottom of the vacuum (EL7085 TYPE B). I use their chat session and an agent had to tell me to input EL7085B. Maybe I should have had enough sense to try that but I'm almost 72 and ran a computer most of my life and feel there is NO excuse for such shoddy programming! It "should" accept 7085, EL7085 (which is what the manual says on its cover) and EL7085 TYPEB (which is printed on the machine). Or just 7085 should work since they ask for the serial number so from that they should know the model as well as everything else. They could simply ask for the serial number and dispense with the model number. Aside: That's one thing that bugs me to this day: How many POOR user interfaces still exist that ask for your city and state and then ask for your zip code. Totally unnecessary! Our medical system (my company served over half the doctors in our state) asked the user to input the patient's zip code and filed in the state and city automatically and that was almost 40 years ago. But Electrolux's product registration site is even worse: When I was filling in this redundant data and it asked for my state the drop down menu only went through New Jersey. No state past New Jersey was given as a choice and no way to simply enter "SC". I considered another chat session but decided to choose New Jersey and hope an edit might work. Sure enough after entering New Jersey (which it accepted even though the zip code and city contradicted that which proves they do no error checking) the next screen allowed me to choose EDIT and when I did I was able to change New Jersey to SC (that drop down offered all states). Hope that might help you register if you live in a state alphabetically past New Jersey. Again, none of my frustration with their website incompetence should stop you from buying this vacuum as it seems to be an excellent product (so far) that I would buy again and do recommend. If they were selling "software" that would definitely not be the case!

Quiet, picks up dirt...
The handle is not comfortable to use. It might take some getting used to. The hose is way too short, so you do one good forward sweep and the thing rolls towards your legs. Other than that it is great. Maybe they will offer an extension for the hose.

You need this vacuum! Suction is mindblowing.
I am a generational electrolux customer-- mom had 2 in her 75 yr life. And i have had 2(this is my second) honestly if i could find someone to accurately diagnose and fix my old one i probably wouldnt have needed to buy this one. However, this one is better! More suction! Alot more. And with a long hair dog and 3 girls with long hair and a husband who thinks walking on white carpet after mowing the lawn is ok-- i vacuum ALOT! this vacuum did not disappoint one bit. I have always said electrolux is the best for the money-an equivalent by Melie would cost me $1200 -- seriously for that money i could hire a cleaning lady.. i love to vacuum, i know I'm crazy so no need to comment, its ok. If you have the $600-- buy this vacuum!

UPDATE -now need duct tape!! powerhead stops working with no warning-happens repeatedly
11/8/2018 update-this vacuum is just worse and worse. now pieces are breaking off and I have to hold it together with duct tape. What a disappointment for a vacuum that I have now used for only 3 months, Steer clear of this one. Gave up and spent the $200 for new power head for my Oxygen 3 so I can have something dependable but still stuck with this item which it is too late to return. Being an Electrolux person, I replaced my Oxygen Ultra 3 with this unit rather than spend $200 for a new powerhead for the 8 yr old vacuum. It would have saved me $300 had I have gone that route and I would have a better vacuum. Powerhead turns off (overheating?) while in the middle of vacuuming and have to wait for it to cool down before you can use it again.Suction has to keep being manually adjusted as you go (unless you put it on auto) and does not seamlessly go from carpet to floor without constant height adjustment. Different carpets from room to room means you are constantly stopping and adjusting the height function & suction level, or it will suck the carpet so hard, you cannot move it back and forth, etc. I want to just turn it on and vacuum as I use to do as all this stopping and adjusting is just time consuming and a real pain. Wish I were able to return it but, of course, it's a month too late for that now. I do not recommend this vacuum at all at any price.

Meh
After happily owning three Electrolux canister vacuums over the last 40 years, I went out on a limb and bought this one in December, 2017. In short, it's WAY overpriced, WAY too fragile, and WAY too average. The floor attachment broke, the power nozzle clatters like its going to explode, and the handle completely separated requiring quite a bit of coaxing it back together and adding two pipe clamps to keep it from coming apart again (see pic.) Do yourself a favor and buy the Meile instead.
