Just short of excellence.
As a Halo fan I really enjoyed this book, it really fleshes out the ships of the lore, especially for the ones that have not yet been revealed in a game or movie however this book does seem a incomplete as only a fraction of the ships are cross sectioned with the rest displayed as simple computer models lacking any intricate details also there are a lot of iconic ships missing like the Marathon class (Halo2), the Forward unto Dawn (Halo3) or the Saratoga (Halo Reach). This book had the potential to be so much better, perhaps it could be the first in a series of further cross section books that could fill out the missing pieces. So as a Halo fan I can recommend this book but their are other books available from other scifi lores like Star Wars with far more elaborate cross sections or tech manuals.

Recommended for Halo fans, but not quite up to standards of Star Wars Incredible Cross Sections
Large book with some very cool illustrations and information, but not quite up to the standards of other Sci-fi technical or cross-section books. The good: This is a large book with massive images and illustrations, as well as loads of technical information about ships and technology. The cross sections that are here are well-drawn and reveal interesting information. There are also loads of ships not shown in-game before, like the ORS Heavy Cruiser from Halo Fleet Battles. The book contains fun background information on ship development as well as the history and technology of the various factions of the Halo universe. Every major ship or station is on display, from the Pillar of Autum and In Amber Clad to High Charity and the Forerunner Keyship. The bad: There are fewer cross-sections than I would have liked. Less than half the book contain actual cross-sections: most pages contain obviously computer rendered models of ships with little surface detail, no cross-section, and less information about them. I was a little disappointed by these pages in comparison to what I got from the cross-sections. I would have loved to see every ship in cross-section rather than just main ships. The cross-sections themselves also have a bit less information compared to most of the Star Wars Incredible Cross Sections books, although what is there is still cool and this is a minor complaint. Finally, I would have expected all major vehicles usable in Halo to appear in detailed cross-section at a minimum, but we are lacking things like the Pelican, Warthog, or Banshee in cross-section. Conclusion: I do feel the good much outweighs the disappointments, and the content in this book is very interesting to any Halo or sci-fi fan. I would still recommend it. What you get is great. But when compared to some other Cross Section books, there's a little disappointment over what you don't get. Even so, I enjoyed this book plenty, especially for the price I paid (Around $15 USD), and hope more science fiction brands follow suit. We need more books in this style out there!

great coffee table book
Well illustrated, interesting, great coffee table book. Everyone in my family has picked it up despite not everyone being a fan of Halo. If you read Halo books and need a better visualization of the ships, or just a fan of the series, this is highly recommended

One of the best halo books I own
This book is perfect for anyone interested in the navy side of the halo universe. It's got tons of pictures and info about almost every ship featured throughout the main-line games, spin-offs and novels.

I'd love to see more!
Honestly, I'm a little disappointed that there isn't more information and art and lore, but what we got was absolutely amazing. To be honest, I'd love to see a lot more books similar to these. Seeing more UNSC, Covenant, Ancient Humanity, and the Forerunners. If they do make more books like this, I'm definitely going to be picking the up.

This is a great book for fans of Halo who care about the lore of ships from the franchise. As a fan myself, there was plenty of information on ships both seen in and outside of the main games that enjoyed reading. The cut-away illustrations are really impressive and highly detailed. The 3D models of all the other ships are also good however I wish they were a little more detailed. I could tell one of the models in the book was the same asset used in the cutscenes for H2A, but granted it is a good model. Despite these small nitpicks however, I am really glad a book like this exists and would recommend it to any fellow fan of sci-fi ships or Halo.

Acho que quem desenhou as naves tem uma visão bastante futurística e realística sobre como um dia poderá ser uma nave feita pelo Homem, com os pormenores bem detalhados a nível de design.
