I had no problem installing this. I thought there was an issue because it stopped working as soon as I plugged my inverter into the cigarette lighter socket. But the issue ended up being an undersized fuse. I replaced it with a 20 amp fuse and it is working perfectly.

I really liked the quality of this item. Everything was solid and sturdy. This is not something that will fit directly into anyone's car, I think, so it will definitely require some customization. It is a bit wide so there probably aren't to many options as to where it will fit and depending on how neat or clean you want it, the installation can be pretty straight forward or it will be a little time consuming. I used the existing cigarette lighter wiring so that was pretty easy. I placed it where the old cigarette lighter and ash tray was.

I like the layout of this set and it's features. That's what sold me on it. One of these days I will actually install it on my side by side. The wiring is convinently already done. terminals crimped amd plugged into each component. Install the hotwire and ground. You should be good to go. If you aren't connecting this straight to the fuse panel be sure to pick up an inline fuse to install between the unit and electrial source on the positive side. I know I haven't actually hooked this up yet but at this price and for what I using it on what could go wrong (famous last words) Really, the way I see this is once the panel is installed, the components are individually capable of being replaced easily and they are available as well as CHEAP. They are bright!

I used this in my build of a solar power station for my sailboat. I used an ammo box with a controller and this to make a portable power bank at a small fraction of the cost of ready made ones. Good quality and works well.

Installed 2 of these in my old travel trailer. I can now monitor battery voltage, charge 4 USB devices, and have access to 2 lighter plugs for a portable tv, small air compressor and etc….plus power down the ports, all from the convenience of the installed power switch. The people in the reviews putting these on blast, must be overly rough with these! They are plastic and not steel. There are included directions on how to properly disconnect the preinstalled spade connectors that are prewired on this if you choose to do so. I’ve included a picture of the directions. Don’t try to rip the connectors off. They have a little tab that needs to be released. This is a feature to keep them from vibrating and eventually falling off. These are awesome, as are all NiLight purchases I’ve made.

This product worked exactly as I hoped—no hassle, no issues. It solved the problem right away and performed better than expected. Couldn’t be happier with how easy and effective it was to install and use.

I installed this port strip in my ancient pop-up. It's more for thin mounting surfaces, not necessarily for 3/4" wood. The length of the volt meter and switch are short, so I hade to drill the holes to 1-1/2" instead of the 1-1/8" so I could leave the nuts on the strip. basically, I drilled the bigger holes, unplugged the wiring, installed the whole strip as it came and used the 4 screws to attach it to the wood panel. If you remove the wiring, you have to squeeze the connectors to release them. Squeeze around, you'll find the right spot. Don't just try to yank it off. It worked as it should. The cigarette port isn't lighted.

I bought in November of 2023 I didn't install install until April of 2024. After only a few months the Rocker switch failed so the unit is unusable. No power in truck bed My fault I didn't contact customer servicece. I assumed incorrectly that I could simply get a replacement Rocker for a few dollars. Not the case. I decided to try Contacting niloght directly to purchase another Rocker but this seemes very difficult. I am past my warranty. That is my fault but this device did not hold up in my truck bed even with a hard topper on it. I don't know how this device can be sold as a marine product. Please give me the Amazon part # for a direct replacement Rocker. Than k you.
