The package didn’t say where they were made, but after installing them my husband found that they would not roll with weight on them. Maybe using them with less weight they might work. He used them to roll a truck bed liner in and out and they would not roll.

Q: If I use more balls will they be able to hold more weight? Let’s say one ball can hold 5 pounds can 2 balls hold 10?

I would say yes if the weight is evenly distributed. In you example the material should be at least 2" width.

Q: If I recess these in plywood how far from the surface of the plywood would the bearing protrude?

Never measured, but would guess just over 3/8”

they are rated @ 33lbs each. so three should work, but 4, evenly spaced, will result in smoother action.
