- Going on vacation? no problem. If you don't use any water for 7 days, it automatically fluffs up the resin for you, which prevents channeling. Channeling ruins the resin by clumping and you will notice lower water pressure at home when that happens. This prevents that from happening if no water is used for 7 days. Using water but not enough to ? no problem. We program it for a 14-day full regeneration to make sure your hardness doesn't start falling off the resin beads.
- Upflow regeneration allows for a more precise recharge of the resin allowing the system to only recharge the depleted resin. Upflow regeneration also drives hardness away from the resin to the drain instead of downflow that forces "dirty" water through the clean charged resin. If the system drops below 3% a short recharge will restore the system to get to the regular 2: 00am delayed regeneration time. Green technology that reduces salt discharge by as much as 75%.
Softpro elite plus 1 inch on demand water softeners is the same valve as the softpro elite basic system and uses up to 75% less salt than the fleck but with added features, we have utilized a mediaguard 55 for city water to remove unwanted chlorine, lead and other heavy metals giving you good tasting water through out the whole house equals no chlorine in the shower. Also has a black neoprene humidity jacket. Optional kdf 85 mediaguard for well water that helps with bacteria growth in system and removes up to 2 ppm sulfur.
