Right off the bat I wasn't really impressed with the bottles that the potassium iodine came in. The bottles just seemed very cheap and generic, which always makes me wonder about the supplement. It had two safety seals, the first one was cellophane over the cap and it was fine. Under the cap was a pull tab, but instead of the tab coming up a little for you to pull it up it was completely glued down. So I had to cut it cut it off with a pair of scissors.Once I got the cap opened and the pull tab off I noticed that several of the capsules were empty with no product at all in them. The bottle was only filled up to 25%, so 75% of this huge bottle is empty. I poured one bottle into the other bottle and it still only filled the bottle half way. The picture I took of the supplements in the bottle is the one where I put both bottles together, see my last picture.The product was in date and not sticking together; however, there were too many issues for me to ever want to order from this company again. I don't recommend them.

They are good in case of an emergency during radioactive release. Since I live 10 miles from a nuclear generation plant, I have a need to keep these pills on hand just in case. Iodine is for Thyroid support, but I would consult a doctor who is a thyroid specialist before starting a regimen of these pills to make sure of what dosage is right for you. Each pill is 65 mg and there are 60 in the bottle. I would recommend these Potassium Iodine pills because they are made in the USA, and they are GMO-Free, so along with the FDA certification I mentioned, I believe these are a safe product, and a good value.

These Potassium Iodide capsules come in bottles that have an inner seal and an outer seal, which I like as security measures.The capsules are oval in shape, and a bit large in size. I find it easier to swallow larger sized capsules with water.I sniffed the capsule , and the inside of the bottle. I could not smell any scent.A serving of 1 capsule will give 65-mg of potassium iodide.If I were getting these capsules as part of an emergency survival preparedness kit, I would want high concentrations. So, if I needed to take them, I would take a serving of 130-mg at one time. Thus, I would take 2 capsules at a time.note:On the one hand, the higher the concentration, the more effective these may be to protect thyroid gland from radioactive iodine exposure.On the other hand, the higher the concentration, the more likely the side effects (nausea, vomiting, dizzy, diarrhea, etc).When using over-the-counter medications, I check for quality. I like that these are made in the USA, GMP (good manufacturing practices) certified, GMO-free, and no allergens.Overall, these are a decent alternative to my preferred brand, in which 1 pill has 130-mg of potassium iodide, and is certified by the FDA.

With any luck I will never have to update on the effectiveness of these Potassium Iodide pills. However, it is a good piece of mind that I have these to help protect myself and loved ones in case of a disaster. Each bottle is estimated to be able to protect 1 person from radioactive iodine for up to 30 days. That may buy you enough time to get to a safe place. I highly recommend everyone have a stash of these in their preparations. I hope that no one ever has to use them.

These are well packaged, made in the USA potassium iodide tablets. I got these for that just in case time. Like most of this kind of stuff, you hope it is what they say.

I got these for emergency purposes so I haven't opened the product up. The label seems to indicate that this is a high quality product and it will be very useful in case of a nuclear event. If not, then I suppose I'll find out a bit too late.

After I received these pills I decided to see if I could google the company it's branded as since there are so many issues with the supplements market but I quickly found I couldn't find any hint of the company or distributor. Another reviewer mentioned the same issue so that kind of raises some concerns about buying supplements online. I don't have access to any kind of elemental analysis so I can't say if it is or isn't quality potassium iodide, but I would be hesitant to buy something without it coming from a clearly reputable source.
