when my child looses the stars, where can I buy more?

Good question, I don't see that the manufacturer sells them seperately. You could buy/find any small shapes to use -they are just small magnets. It is also a dry erase board as well so you could have your child color in the stars with dry erase markers if the stars were lost.

Will this stick to a stainless steel refrigerator?

I’m not too sure. I don’t have a stainless steel refrigerator. However, a friend of mine does and regular magnets do not stick on their refrigerator. Also this comes with a string you could hang it off of a nail or thumb tac or a hook on the wall.

Are the stars stickers, vinyl peel & stick or magnets?

They are reusable magnets and very good quality!

Can wet erase markers be used instead of dry erase?

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not. There's minimal writing to be done, and once you've written the children's names and some additional chores, there won't be many changes in the future...
