This is a stunning book filled with the details of the human body from cells to systems it has beautiful color photos of every structure. My kiddo picked it out for a school project and I expect it will be used up through college.

I had the 1st edition after I completed massage school, this edition is nice has more information and a lot bigger.

The vivid images provided in this book quickly transported me into complete immersion of human anatomy. The elysian artwork captures my interest and provides me invaluable information making it a truly unforgettable book. I am currently in nursing school and re-educating myself so as not to forget vital understanding of anatomy and physiology. Knowledge fades so I invested in this book to retain what I have, and it has far surpassed expectations. I have taken many classes relating to this field including anatomy, physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, and will be taking advanced pathophysiology. Therefore I can say that this book has more than enough information for nurses, possibly physician assistants, and nurse practitioners relating to anatomy. This book is not a substitute for college classes however I would wager only a physician could recite most of the information provided in it from memory. It is truly a work of art and I doubt I will ever know the entirety of the information written in it. The negatives of this book include the small print and horizontal pages. Overall the price is very reasonable for what you receive.

This book is incredibly detailed and comprehensive, covering all bodily functions thoroughly. While some structures aren’t explored as deeply as I would prefer, overall, it’s an excellent resource. I am a little bummed out with the exterior looks of the book. Mine came with several marks/scuffs and it was not packaged properly at all. I ordered it new but I have a feeling it’s used because of the markings and crumbs in some of the pages. I would return it in hopes of getting one in pristine condition but looking at other reviews I think mine is decent.

Honestly SUCH A COOL RESOURCE! Thick, informative, detailed and relevant. I homeschool my kids, and they love books, so any time I can get cool books (on sale!) that they can read and look through on their own, I will! This was no exception and I'm so glad I did. It goes through EVERY system in the body, every section of the body, information about fetal development, child development, puberty, aging, common diseases and dysfunction. When I tell you it's thorough, I am not exaggerating. I am a massage therapist and can use this to refresh my muscular knowledge. My children can learn about how their bodies work, grow and change, a medical professional could use this to keep their knowledge fresh as well. It's honestly worth the buy even if it's not on sale.

Fantastisch!! Prachtig boek, prachtige illustraties, super informatief! Ik was bang voor de prijs dat het niet de diepte in zou gaan maar dat is zeker wel het geval! Dit boek is veel meer waard dan het kost en een aanrader voor iedereen met interesse in wat er binnen in ons huist en gebeurt :)

What an amazing book! Every part of the human body, every organ, every cell is covered with fabulous illustrations, many of them the latest computer-generated images in all their gory detail. It's amazing what your insides look like and interesting to read how they function, implicitly function, this big heavy book shows the lot. Great value for money over 500 pages for you to get lost in with medical curiosity. Much better than pouring over a computer screen as you can examine a book intimately. Computers are great but its always nice to have a good book. Highly recommended, you won't be disappointed with The Complete Human Body: The Definitive Visual Guide. With full colour Hi res images on every page!
