Can the key code be specified?

I did not try to have any specific code so I an not sure.

No, the keys are random in each package but there is always a possibility you might.

what size hole does this fit in? what is the distance between the flats?

I'm not sure, I used it for a project and sold it. I pretty sure that I drilled a 7/8 hole and it was just alittle to big. And I used it on 3/4 stock with no trouble.
