Keeps my dog's attention
We go through a lot of toys in my house. I mean a LOT. My 10-month old puppy is a very aggressive chewer. She's 50 pounds of adorable destruction. We struggle to find a balance in toys: They can't get destroyed too easily, but will still hold her attention. She's a puppy. If she's trying to play with it and it's not ripping apart or still tasty, she'll move on to something else. Like shoes. Or our cats. That being said, these bones are a nice distraction. They're advertised as beef flavored, but I'm certainly not going to give either of them a gnaw to find out. However, she does seem to keep at it longer than the regular, non-scented/non-flavored bones that we have. She actually has paid more attention to these than the femur bones we get her.Do be aware, however (especially if you are a new dog owner) that nylon toys peel. Depending on the sharpness of your pup's teeth, these can be pointy shreds that can either break off and be eaten, or cut your dog's gums. This is the case with ALL nylon toys, not just these. If you don't have the means to trim off the peels, don't purchase nylon toys for your dog. You'll just end up throwing them away before their time. That being said, there are some nylon toys that are stronger than others--these are some of those strong ones. Little Miss Destructo has yet to get any good peels off the meat-colored bone. The only thing I'm not a fan of with this product is the misleading advertising--these are not meant to replace proper dental care. Your dog will naturally and instinctively chew on this with the teeth along the sides of their mouth, not the front (otherwise, they could damage their teeth).

Okay but nobody's favorite
I think these bones are a bit too big for medium-sized dogs to comfortably chew on, so they get passed up by my border collie mix and my german shepherd mix in favor of their other toys most of the time. That isn't to say they never chew on them, because they will if this is what's in front of them, but you can tell these are not their favorites. These are also made up of a hard plastic that makes them slippery and hard to grip, which is probably the bigger reason why my dogs don't love these. On one hand, they're very durable, but on the other, they're durable because they're harder for the dog to enjoy. So like I said in the title-- they're okay, I wouldn't really recommend them.

The dogs are not impressed
We recently acquired a 8 month old Pitbull puppy who insists on chewing everything, he will occasionally pick up one of these and gnaw on it for a couple of minutes but never any longer. Our five year old Lab/Bloodhound mix is even less impressed by these toys, normally she'll take whatever the puppy is chewing on away from him but she doesn't bother with these. One thing that I notice in the description is "Food Grade Nylon" umm... there's food grade nylon? The toys look ok and the one has a good texture for dogs to grip but as I said neither dog is bothering to bypass other toys to get to these. Given that they should last a very long time. Like people different dogs like different things your dog may get obsessed by these.

Holding up pretty well
These are the kind of toys that my dogs love sometimes, but completely ignore at other times. They were very interested in them when I first opened them and were happy to give them a good chew. They will still come back to them and chew on them for a while at a time, but it is not a daily used item. Once they chew on these for a while you will get some little sharp edges. I worry about some of these pieces coming off and being ingested, but so far they have stayed attached. Those sharp edges are really good at collecting dog fur from around the house, so there is always something attached to them. This type of wear is consistent with any of these kinds of chew toys I have tried so it is pretty much what I expect. I always make sure that these can only be played with while somebody can supervise. They are very hard and heavy duty, so I wouldn't see this as a fetch toy, but if your dog loves to power chew this is a good option. They will hurt you if you accidentally step on or kick one, so watch out for that! The dogs are pretty happy with them and they are a good addition to their toy box.

Really Durable for My Aggressive Chewers and They Love Them!
Made in China, these dog chew toys are really pretty tough. We adopted a couple of dogs and they are pretty hard on their chew toys--especially the male. He can go through chew toys like crazy, but the female can hold her own in that respect. They say they are made of food grade nylon and because the bones are pretty hard I was worried that perhaps they would splinter. They do not seem to splinter off. They came packaged in plastic bags with cardboard hang tags and when opened, they did indeed smell like beef even to my insensitive nose. My male took off with the red bone and my female took the white and red bone.To be fair, the red bone is my male's current favorite while the female has a different favorite right now but she has given some time to her red and white bone. The dogs have been gnawing on these two bones for about 6 days now and they are holding up pretty well. I am actually impressed that they are not looking worse. You can see how they have faired in the pictures above. The dogs say 4 paws up--that's 5 stars! Recommend.

My dog loves them!
My dog is an aggressive chewer and loves to chew her toys and dog bones. The minute I opened up the package she could smell the bone and she loved it so much. It keeps her busy for hours and it did not have any negative effects on her digestive system.

Standing up well to two rottweilers
I have two rotties who are Olympic class chewers. They immediately took to both of these toys, politely alternating between them. They are both holding up quite well. There is a little wear, but it is definitely in the acceptable range. If you have an aggressive chewing dog, this pair of chew toys is up to the task.

Dog doesn't really like it
My dog is a terrier mix, but is a 40 lb dog, so not small. She loves to chew on bones when we give the to her. But for some reason, rawhide and plastic ones, even with smelly stuff thrown in, just never seem to interest her. I keep trying in the hopes of finding one because real bones last less than a day with her.
