Awesome Flex Bamboo Deck! Factory blemishes barely detectable
very minor blemishes... you really have to look to find em'. The price was excellent for such an awesome product! Very light, thin, and the flex is really cushy... adds rebound to your travel. I'm not sure if it is just me, but my set up is fairly high off the ground because I have Gullwing Sidewinder trucks and 72mm wheels, but the Dervish's flex gives me about a 1-1.5 inch drop to assist with the push. Drawback to this set up is that the sidewinders permit extreme banking that is exaggerated by the flex and can scrape the edge of the deck. Only happened once with 70mm Sector9 Butterballs. Hopefully my extra 2mm will prevent this from happening again. Very happy with the deck and recommend it for newer longboarders that love carving over downhill. It can be stabilized with tighter kingpin, and lower trucks (removing the second sidewinder kingpin), but the flex might be a factor in lower profile setups. I haven't tried it yet. Several sites do not recommend this truck for downhill and sliding, but with the grip and flex from the dervish, I get to slide a little with these unorthodox trucks, but I have to admit that it feels a bit strange and took me a while to get used to it. One thing I thought would have been helpful to know is that you don't want screws (hardware) that are longer than 1 1/8 inch... 1.5 is too long cause the deck is really thin.

Flex 1 is still super flexible and this board is a classic.
Not much to say. I got it for a little cheaper considering they only had one in stock as people seem to be avoiding the Flex 1. Well, I am ~170 lbs and the flexiness is very much there. Almost too much, so I am glad I got this Flex, considering it will become bouncier in time anyway.

Flex 1 Dervish....RAD DECK!! awesome
Loaded make the best bamboo boards!! has convex shape for flex up and down (pumping makes board go faster when cruising and carving).i have fitted Paris trucks and O-Tang wheels (INHeat 83a purple) and the board is sweet!!flex is a bit harder than the Loaded Vanguard Flex 2 (which i ride with 4President 80a wheels - orange by O-Tang; also Paris trucks)but a really FUN board which inspires easy movement (not as stiff/rigid and limiting as maple boards by landyachtz) but obviously one would not want to do steep downhill with this board. It's best for its designed purpose - cruising, carving, pushing, dancing and some freeridelove it and highyl recommendOh....and the deck is also very light compared to maple boards.....so....easy to carry! Bonus!

Best Longboards You Can Buy, Period.
This board is the best longboard I've ridden and am proud to say I now own. This board will cruise sweet, turn well, and bomb some steep hills! It can conquer it all and for the price it may be a lot but you shouldn't sell yourself short for the quality of a Loaded Board. These are the best you can buy, not just the dervish sama but all loaded boards, period. Sadly I had an accident with this board and it got ran over by an SUV, board top up. It got some scratches but it is still just as great as when I first got it. Durability is definitely one thing they kept in mind with this board. Don't hesitate to buy it. It will be the best board you'll ever own.

Expensive but I think it's worth it
It's a bit expensive so I don't really want to do any tricks or whatever on them. I use it mainly as a cruiser / commuting and I enjoy it. The flex 1 which is the least flexy out of the 3 options is still very flexy. They absorb unevenness of roads which is nice as a commuting board.

Dervish Sama
The Dervish Sama is an amazing board. The flex is on it is perfect and I can't complain about anything on the board trucks, or wheels. One thing that I did find a bit upsetting were the bearings that came with the complete set. They were a set of Amphetamine Speed Bearings. The name sounds nice but they are pretty crappy bearings. I wish it would have came with a set of Bones Reds which are about the same price as these. They just don't spin for long. I thought the nuts were too tight but I ended up pulling the bearings off of the wheels and it wasn't that. The bearings. I love the board though!

easy and very flexible
I haven't written before because I was waiting for the board to be shipped to me where I live, abroad. Now it is here I like it very much because as a 53-year-old complete beginner it is so much more stable than the shorter standard board I first bought. I have only ridden it around my flat so far as I am waiting for the protective gear to arrive before hitting the park. I bought the most flexible board which I hope will take my 70kg weight out in the park ok. So if it breaks I will come back to you for the medium flexibility board. So far though I am very pleased with your board. Thank you. Richard

Perfect board for carving and cruising
Love this board. I am using it right now in college just cruisin' to class. The wheels I got were the 4 presidents(Orange) softest Duro which is great for flat areas and getting over small bumps. I switched out the bushings from truck to board though because I was getting pretty bad speed wobbles going downhill at a small decline. Replaced them with venom 93a's. Haven't noticed speed wobbles yet, but I also haven't gone down big declines yet. But it IS better now though. I'll replace the bushings truck to ground later. But all in all, AWESOME board.
