This is great for remote solar systems
This is plug and play. It replaces a home made system that frankly was not as nice as this. We have a solar system some distance from the house. IT's connected by a Ubiquity M900 link. At the solar end are two deep cycle batteries, solar panels, IP camera, electric fence charger etc. I wanted the ability to monitor charge conditions. (voltage, amps, etc) and view that on my network. This is a POE device so I didn't need a separate power supply. It does exactly as I want, although I've only had it a couple of days and I'm still learning. I have not been able to get it to send alerts to gmail, but that could be a gmail issue. I like the idea that one current sense is +/-, that way I can see how much the system draws at night. I'd buy it again in a flash. My only minor suggestion is include a six inch DIN rail, or maybe a different mounting mechanism.

Had one other, so setup was easy

I have to say I like it
it is a good voltage monitor, if your using it to watch amps the only input that can have a distance is the "shunt". It has a lot of control for the settings (esp. the shunt resister) and some handy relays. not sure about the e mail setup I have had issues with that myself but I am sure it is my settings not Tycons. Although it would be nice if Tycon had an email relay that could be used for these.
