FuturoStabilizing Back Support, Large/X-Large

It fits! The problem with one size fits all back supports is that they are generally too small for short, extra fat people like me. I had an older Futuro that fit well, until I wore out the Velcro closure. None of the supports that were available in stores near me fit - the "regulars" were too small, the "plus size" were too big to give good support. So, I took a chance on a L/XL Futuro. It is excellent, and I can wear it under a 2XL T-shirt or a football jersey for travel or to attend an event. It would work under a polo or sport shirt, but I have not done that yet.Excellent quality. Works as well as my "old faithful", and will last longer, I think.

Good back brace. Fits well, offers good support, can wear all day, doesn't fold over when bending. I find that things with the 3M name on them are above average quality and usually perform very well.

Helps me with my posture.

I actually had an old Futuro back support brace exactly like this one that I absolutely loved that I use whatever I’m outside in the yard working or needing to pick up anything heavy and carry the same. These braces help protect your back during lifting, etc. I purchased this new one for my wife to use so she would not hurt her back and lifting, etc. I have purchased other brands of back support braces but this one is definitely the one I like the best. I had lumbar back surgery in 2021 and I want to make certain that I don’t re-injure my lower back so I use a back brace whenever I’m doing any type of work around the house. Do not hesitate to buy these as they are very comfortable and should prevent you from injuring yourself from lifting, improperly, etc..

I returned it for two reasons. It was more restrictive than I thought it would be, couldn't bring my legs up high/ride a bike without it hitting the brace which was not very flexible. More importantly, the bottom of the brace does not lay flat against your lower back like the picture shows - it sticks out and is stiff which was really annoying and not comfortable for me. If one is not active/minimally active, this is a really good brace. If you are active, I would recommend you find one that is supportive but more flexible and conforming.

I have chronic lower back and hip pain due to a shorter right leg, and this support belt has really helped me. The stabilizing bars on either side of the spine give great support. I use it mostly when I have to do yard work and twist and turn the lawn mower. The support helps to keep me from throwing my back and hips out, necessitating a visit to the chiropractor. Not only saves my back and hips, but saves me money, too. The mesh design helps to keep me cooler in the summer when it is very hot where I live.

This appears to be exactly what I need for my back. Why the one star? After receiving it the day after I ordered it and the same day I ordered it discovered it to be too large after trying it on over clothes it is not returnable. Clothes that I was unable to wear because of incorrect size were returnable but this item, put on over clothing touched only by my hands is not returnable or exchangeable for a smaller size which would probably be exactly what I want. Nowhere on the site is any information given to indicate what the sizes are, however the sizes are written on the package. This size is 39-50 inches or 99.1-127 cm for the information for others who might wish to order it.This elderly and disabled person living on Social Security is not happy about now having to wait for another month to be able to have the money to order the smaller size. Anyone want a L/XL, never worn only tried on over clothes? It is in mint condition.While I am at it I will give the sizes of the other back supports which I hope will be useful for others who might wish to purchase this item. Remember it is not returnable but I found that to be nowhere stated.
