Hi! Yes, this model is like the classic crush platform, in that it's squishy and has some give when you're standing or walking for long periods. The back end around the heel is a little kicked out on the bottom, to give you extra stability. I need to take a hike and see how they do outside, but they do well indoors. No slipping.
