They work OK, not the most secure and they do not come with the rubber lining to put inside them. If it had come with the rubber lining I'm sure they would work better. Your window sill also needs to be deep enough for the screws to line up with the edge of the sill. If the window sill isn't deep enough then the screws have nothing to hold onto.

Simple and effective
Our window air conditioner makes it easy to open the window and come into our home. These things really lock down the window to keep it from opening any further than we need to exhaust the AC. If you need a cheap way to secure a window or sliding door, look no further!
