Super cute! My cat loves this thing. Loves to scratch, and play with the string and ball track. The bottom of the tree is softer while the middle part is more coarse. It was easy to put together and pretty sturdy.

I have had this tree for a couple months and my cat is 9 months old about 10 pounds and he’s a moderate chewer (not obsessed with putting things in his mouth but has been known to chew). I really like the design; you can shape the leaves and for him the leaves are chew resistant (no holes or pieces). The product was really easy to put together. I was surprised at how sturdy the base is, it’s a really thick chunk of wood. His favorite activity is jumping up and clinging with all four paws. He will stay on there for a few seconds with no problem to the scratching post. I’ve only seen it knocked over just a handful of times, he would have to really run and hit it at the right angle, or try to climb on the very top of it. The “grass” and where the leaves are connected is nice and soft and I haven’t seen it fall out or around the house any where; it really stays attached. Also ditto for the leaves, they haven’t come out. The ball was surprisingly heavy, not like a lightweight ball you might find at the pet store, but it’s not scary heavy, haha. It does have a little rattle in it, it’s not a high tinny sound like a bell, imagine beans in a jar you shook. That has also stayed attached really well and he does bat at it somewhat. He likes the leaves because they are nice and opaque to “hide” and provide a nice “crinkle” sound when he can reach from the couch or wherever. At the end of the day this was really nice to him to really reach up to stretch and scratch.

Bought 3 of these and 9 cats use them every day. It depends on your placement whether they use them or your furniture. I have 1 next to the coffee table in the living room that gets used a lot. 1 in the bedroom next to the front of a dresser, that gets used when they walk by and 1 next to the bedroom door that gets used as well. The colors are vibrant and beautiful the size is big enough for large cats and the quality is good. I didn't notice a smell. Easy to assemble with weight on the bottom for standing durability. Occasionally when the cats are feeling frisky, they will claw like crazy and slightly lift or tilt the trees. The only damage they have done is start to unravel the twine around the ball. I recommend and would buy again.

This scratching post is adorable and adds such a cute touch to the room. It’s affordable, excellent quality, easy to assemble, and doesn’t take up much space, fit anywhere. My cats are absolutely obsessed with it and use it nonstop. Definitely a great buy for any cat owner.

my kitty LOVES this scratching post! it’s super easy to assemble, looks great, and lasts for a while! i’ve purchased this a few times now (only replacing it when it gets too worn) and my only gripe is that the rope around the ball sometimes comes off, exposing the glue (which i don’t really want my cat to ingest)

I have two larger cats who like the tree but have basically destroyed it in under a month. The top of the palm tree insert is made of fabric and my cats have obliterated that. The whole structure is a little side heavy where the palm tree is and the whole thing has fallen a few times in that direction. It's very cute if you have small cats that don't play rough or scratch too much.
