Fjällräven Skule 28 Backpack, Deep Forest

We absolutely love this backpack! It’s the perfect mix of quality, functionality, and simple elegance. From the strong zippers and front clip locks to the built-in keychain and stretchy front pocket, every detail is thoughtfully designed. The material is sturdy yet lightweight, and the backpack keeps its shape beautifully. It looks sleek enough for middle school but is durable and practical enough to carry into high school. It holds everything: books, laptop, water bottle, while still feeling comfortable on the back. The two front clip locks are a great feature, especially helpful for extra support while biking or scooting to school, and also for posture. A perfect everyday student backpack that’s as functional as it is good-looking. Best! Highly recommend!

This will probably be the last backpack I buy, it checks pretty much all the boxes for me for an EDC. I'm a nurse, a bike commuter, sometimes hiker, sometimes traveler, and soon to be full time student, and it is well suited to all of these needs. It's compact, not too heavy, fits my body well (I'm a short guy and have trouble with backpack fit) and has plenty of pockets and organization for everything I need. I especially love the small zippered pouch at the top of the bag, it's a perfect size for my work badge, keys, pens, gum, airpods, etc and allows me quick access to my most commonly used items without needing to open larger compartments and dig around - this is definitely my favorite feature. The main compartment is surprisingly spacious and I like that the compression straps can help manage bulk if I need to use the bag as a carry on/personal item while traveling. The water bottle pockets are generous and can easily fit larger capacity water bottles (32/40oz). The front compartment has plenty of pockets to keep things organized and has a surprising amount of depth - I can pack it pretty fully and it fills out evenly without competing for too much space in the main compartment. I haven't used the bag in anything but light rain, but I've had no issues with water resistance - if I was planning on being out in heavier rain for whatever reason, I'd probably just get a rain cover for peace of mind. Truly my only gripe with this bag is the laptop sleeve. It fits my 15" Macbook air perfectly on its own; however, the padded sleeve is oddly short and leaves about 1/4 of my laptop exposed at the top (see photo), necessitating an additional laptop sleeve for full protection from scratches, etc. Even with the slimmest sleeve I've been able to find for the 15" Macbook air, I'm still not able to fit it inside of the backpack's laptop sleeve when I have it in its own sleeve (the backpack's sleeve is too narrow to accommodate my laptop AND a protective sleeve) and it has to be stored in the main compartment. Considering that this backpack meets truly all of my other needs as an EDC, and it's not marketed as a laptop bag specifically, this is really just me being super picky.

Great backpack. Spacious and clear sections for storage. Comfortable and looks nice. Able to be used in many different environments and settings and can be used in a professional or non-professional setting. Also works well as a carry on or day pack for travel. Seems to be constructed well.

I wanted to give this one true trial run (an international trip) before reviewing. After wasting my money on many of the popular and overhyped backpacks, you know the ones, I knew exactly what I needed. This is it. Look no further! Can't speak for other airlines, but I had no issue using this as a personal item on my Delta flights (plus I also had my carryon suitcase with me!). The compartments are all functional, the backpack is comfortable, and you wouldn't believe how much fits inside! Cute too! would recommend.

The Skule 28 is so very close to being a perfect backpack. This is my second Fjallraven, and they're truly gorgeous: well-made, with great materials, and built to last. This bag is no exception. The pocket layout is nice and has a spot for everything (including bonus compartment up top); the side pouches are solid and can fit a larger water bottle; it has a chest strap (chest strap is everything). However, it also has a waist strap, which I find superfluous and annoying (chest strap helps distribute weight/keep it off your shoulders but waist strap really seems to be useless); it isn't removable so I just kinda tied them up neatlyish. My only other beef is that the top carrying/hanging loop isn't padded, which matters when you have to hand-lug a heavy bag, or doubled (a la many North Face) so that there's a loop to hold regardless of which compartment is open. But positives certainly outweight the quibbles. Fiallraven, hit me up when you make those improvements as I want to tell the world about the absolute perfect backpack 🇸🇪🆒🎒

This is my favorite backpack. I had a black version of it before this, but then it got stolen. Decided to replace it with the same one, navy this time. So many organization pockets is my favorite part. Inside the main pocket is a laptop sleeve. There's a mini top pocket above the main pocket, good for keys, headphones, quick-access items. The middle pocket is a good size for me to keep my pill bottles, glasses case. Inside that middle pocket there are two mesh "pen pouch" slots, I keep pens in one, and travel pill case in the other. There's also another zipper pocket inside the mid-pocket, which I use to hold tissues, portable ssd, and eye drops, secluded from the rest of the backpack so they won't get dirty. It's also got those stretchies on the outside of the backpack to hold a raincoat or hat or something. And the water bottle pockets are big enough to accommodate a 1L nalgene. It's a very good school/work bag.

Amazing quality and spacious backpack. I’m able to fit a Surface Pro and 15” laptop in the compartment plus all of the accessories for each. Still plenty of room for snacks, pens, notebooks, phone accessories, and other items you need when traveling.

Voldoet aan de bestelling. Goed gemaakt, van hoge kwaliteit, de verstelmogelijkheden werken goed, stabiel en ruim. Ik beveel hem aan. Bedenk voor aankoop of je een platte of ronde rugzak wilt. Hij heeft een grote inhoud, maar is plat – je kunt er niet alles in kwijt wat je wilt.

As expected. Was a bit worried that it was a copy and not an original. But it seems to be an original from fjällräven.
