Yes you can use reusable grocery bags…but these opaque bags and compact, strong, and you can see the shoes inside - and really reasonably priced. If you’re a fan of a neat, organized travel bag - these will be a welcome addition. Could also work to hold small dirty clothes or wet bathing suits. Really happy I purchased these and would recommend.
