It really is quiet
It really is quiet, my dishwasher is louder. I live on the fourth floor of a 500 square foot apartment and have yet to recieve any complaints from my neighbors or, more importantly, my wife. Easy to set up and put the weights in the rear rim. After a ride I fold it up and put it under my bed. I have written approximately 3 reviews in my life, mainly because I don’t care enough to do so, the fact that I’m taking the time to type this review and then provide this explanation hopefully shows how much I like this trainer.

For the money it is awesome!
As quiet as your bike is spinning on a stand. With a clear drivetrain it is very very quiet. Little tricky to setup with the weights (need for feel) and getting the mags just perfect but great once setup. I use the the CycleOps Climbing Riser Block to get the levels I want since the back wheel is lifted. For more money I am sure there are better trainers but I didnt want to burn rear tires and needed something quiet for an apartment. Dont forget to have a fan blowing on you and throw some Phil Gaimon KOM efforts on your tv. Dont forget to check your rear wheel thoroughly for a pin joining as it will cause issues.

A Surprisingly Nice Trainer
Five months of regular usage and I am still very happy with this trainer. The only complaint is the large dead spot in the pedal stroke. The included wheel weights help, but are difficult to use with the Easton EA70 (tight to get installed). BUT normal pedaling at realistic efforts hides the dead spot. I don't feel it. I only notice it when I am in a rest interval. The power seems accurate. Out of the box it agrees with the virtual power on that certain popular cycling training application. I sincerely recommend the STAC Zero. It really is one of the best pieces of cycling gear I've got.

Yes, it's Very Very Quiet.
I live in an apartment and finally have a way to train though the winter without disturbing my neighbors. It will be exciting to upgrade to the smart version once STAC finishes it but for now I'm just excited to have an easy way of doing focused training indoors.Seriously, it's so quiet. My only gripe is the way you attach the bike to the trainer itself, with two screws on either side. I've seen quick release systems on other trainers that are a lot easier easier to use but......it's just so quiet.

Clever idea, doesn't deliver
I tried the powermeter version. Should be able to read my notes here: STAC Zero Powermeter Bike Trainer I never tried the meter. Too many other flaws to continue using it. Amazon sometimes combines reviews for same/similar items and sometimes not. Probably should for these two (they're identical but for the attached meter). If that happens, hopefully they'll delete this little "forwarding" note.
