Dermalex Rosacea Treatment – Clinically Proven to Treat Mild to Moderate Rosacea Symptoms – 30 g

I suffer from a skin sensitivity to UV light called Polymorphic Light Eruption, and have used this product for 10 years since being recommend it by a pharmacist. Plme doesn't generally have many products dedicated to it, as it's a rare sensitivity that causes rashes and irritation when the warmer weather comes out on the areas that often see the sun - like hands, cheeks and arms. I use this product to assist in the "hardening" process with PLME - allowing your skin to flare up in order to climatise to the higher UV light exposure in summer months - and I couldn't do it without dermalex. I often flare up with mild to medium rashes on my cheeks and arms in late spring early summer normally from spending time in the garden, and then use this cream to sooth the itching and reduce the rash. During the first flare up, I cover the rash in dermalex to sooth it and then wear light natural clothes as to not further expose the rash to the sun whilst it heals, and once gone (normally in a matter of days owing to dermalex) I am able to be in the sun again rash free for the whole summer. Dermalex has a wonderful fresh, rose like smell, and a novelty pale green scent that acts as a barrier and reduces redness - perfect for hiding the unsightly rashes. I can't confirm it's efficacy as a rosacea cream, though it does reduce the redness of my rash, but I couldn't live without it as a PLME sufferer. It's expensive for the small amount, but I've not found a product better, and I tend to only need 1 bottle per annum, so it's worth it in my opinion!

This is what Dermalex themselves say - Results vary according to skin type. Within 30 minutes the skin is 18% more hyrdrated and redness reduced by 44 %. They also say spider veins will be reduced by 21 % in four weeks and 34% in eight weeks. They also say it could help reduce flare ups and the damage they cause. I think this is probably true and would recommend it to anyone who is newly diagnosed. So I am at the end of week one. Dermalex definitly suits my skin as a moisturiser. The redness was not reduced in minutes but has certainly reduced to the point where I catch myself in the mirror and think I look quite pale. It's no magic cure but for redness reduction alone I would certainly by it again. Update - 28/04/13 - I have now been using this product for two weeks. So far it has significantly reduced my spider veins. Further update - 11.05.13 - have been using this product for one month. Does not perform miracles but really does visibly reduce spider veins and helps a little with redness. However, went to Boots today two buy some more and notice the price has gone up to £18.98 !! A lot of money for a 30g tube. G

Have suffered with Rosacea now for many years, have tried prescribed gel and antibiotics for a long time, but my face is very bad and nothing seems to work. I do wear camouflage make up, which allows me to be slightly confident when out and about as no one can see my actual skin. Saw this cream in a magazine and thought I would give it a go, although it is expensive I have been using it now for two weeks twice daily and it has definitely improved my appearance, redness across my forehead has gone, my nose and cheeks are still red but have calmed down a lot, considering how severe my facial redness is this cream has without a doubt improved my condition. I am really pleased and will continue to use this on a long term basis. Would recommend for any rosacea suffers use Veil cover cream and finishing powder, brilliant coverage, lasts 24 hours and is waterproof. It is recommended by the British Red Cross and people with facial skin conditions like myself, as it gives total coverage, I can face the world again without being stared at.

I read some mixed reviews around this product so couldn't be sure one way or another if it was any good so decided to give it a try. The cream itself is a light green colour but absorbs in to the skin fine with no noticable greay residue. Dermalex is a well known brand so definitely worth a try. It didn't produce the results I was expecting but a lot of this will depend on different skin types and seriousness of the condition. I gave it 3 stars as that's in the middle, it didn't work for me but may be suitable for others

I've suffered from rosacea since I was 19 and have tried a number of prescribed products over the years, with very little success. My main problem has always been redness but I also go through periods of very dry, itchy, spotty skin. I had been meaning to purchase this cream for a while and finally took the plunge last week; I realise it states in the instructions for use to allow 6-8 weeks for the product to make a difference, but I've noticed a significant difference in my skin having only used it for a few days. For starters, the dry/scaly patches of skin on my forehead and around my eyes have practically disappeared. My skin isn't as sore or as itchy as it has been recently and on waking up in the morning, my face isn't as red as it has been previously. I find the cream has quite a pleasant scent and it feels soothing once applied. I can only hope my skin continues to improve the way it has done so far. I'll review again in a few weeks but, for anyone who's not sure about whether it's worth purchasing Dermalex, I would definitely recommend giving it a try. If it clears up my skin the way other reviewers have reported then it's worth every penny. Great, prompt service from Amazon as always.

I have tried many rosacea creams and had no joy. I was feeling incredibly self conscious in public, had spots and awful flaky dry skin on my chin, nose and it had begun to spread to my forehead and cheeks so i had absolutely had enough. I really didn't want it to spread to my whole face so researched rosacea treatments and thought I'd give this a go. I have used it now for around 6 months and it appears to have helped. There is no miracle cure, I still get the odd spot and larger breakout but on the whole the breakouts are lessened and the spots have subsided considerably. I no longer feel like hiding away or covering my lower face with a scarf as I speak to people! Give it a go for a while. It's worth trying. I'm pleased I did.

This product is absolutely amazing!!!! I am 26yrs old and of indian skin tone. Iv always had clear skin in my teens and the last couple of years had horrible skin since a reaction from using mac makeup. What i thought was adult acne ended up actually being rosacea. I tried several things to reduce my acne but id always had red rashy skin around my cheeks nose and forehead and never understood how to get rid of it. One night use of this cleared my skin so much i was amazed at how quickly the redness reduced. I use it day and night as the first thing on my face before i put my night or day cream over it and iv been using it for 2 weeks now and my face hasnt had any redness. This truly is amazing. I would get bumpy spots on my cheeks and around my nose and theyve completely gone. My skin on the inner cheek and around my nose area looks so much better and the pores are a lot smaller. It is on the pricey side but i would definitely recommend it to anyone who suffers adult acne and redness. This is a life saver. I love it.

Absolute waste of money. Since reaching the menopause My face has become a little blotchy. Thought this would be good to try and reduce the redness. My face came up in huge sore lumps, really angry looking. I used the smallest amount for three days and it just got worse and worse, so stopped using it and the lumps went. Not only that, as that complaint may just be that it did not agree with my skin. But the tube also feels almost empty, each of the three times I used it I had to bang the tube against my hand to get the cream to come out. Simply squeezing the tube did not release any product. I think the amount of product in the tube is minimal. Tried to return the product but was told that this was not possible. An expensive waste of money.

Don't buy it. It's not at all effective on my rosacea. Money also wasted and the service is also cheap. They not even accepted the return request.very bad product.

I've been buying from Amazon for 10 years plus and I never left a review. But I wanted to leave this to encourage others to try it. I had a rosacea flare up and my skin was extremely red and uncomfortable. It felt like it was dragged on a cheese grater. I took a chance on this and my skin started to feel better after first use and after about a week my redness was 60% gone and my skin felt normal again. Up until that point, I had tried all kinds of barrier restoring creams but none of them really helped. If you are going thru something like that too please give this cream a try. I apply it at night after I wash my face and after it sinks in I apply a gentle moisturizer on top. Just give this product a try.

Die Lieferung hat 3 Wochen gedauert, aber die Creme hält b i s h er, was sie verspricht. Sie ist sehr gut verträglich, die Rosacea-Rötungen (bei mir an den Wangen, Nase und Kinn) verblassen. Trotzdem möchte ich erst mal abwarten, ob auch wie versprochen Couperose/Besenreiser verbessert werden, bevor ich Dermlex wirklich hier empfehlen kann.
