Q: Can this be used as an over blanket in a hammock. I don't want to take my sleeping bag.but I do wear a kayak onesie

It sure can! This blanket is a really good version of the good old woobie (poncho liner) and is warmer and more comfortable than the original. The only thing that might be useful for use in a hammock that a woobie has that this jungle blanket doesn't have is the laces on the side, which can be used to fasten the woobie to the ropes of the hammock to keep it from falling to the ground. But I would definitely recommend this jungle blanket.

Q: What temperature range is this suitable for?

I've used this instead of a sleeping bag while sleeping in pj shorts . I checked the room temperature and was 10 degrees. I woke up in a cold sweat. But when the heating was on to about 15 degrees it was ok. It is very light weight. If your tall like me 6ft 3 then the biggest one will be better for your feet.

The answer is there is no difference in tech spec, as of September 2019 snugpak make 2 sizes, Standard and Extra Large, the Standard size comes in olive or black and the XL comes just comes in Olive currently. The page has been set up incorrectly by several different amazon sellers, Amazon and snugpak are aware of this and the team at snugpak are currently in the process of working through all the Amazon pages cleaning all the pages up making them clear for both the customers and us the sellers.
