Brilliant Rucksack!!
I'm pretty sure that my many years of purchasing the perfect Rucksack are over!! The Mil-Tec Rucksack is soooooo good, i love it. Build quality is excellent super tough material and big chunky zippers that are awesome, zips are double on all pockets with cord and tough plastic ends on them. Storage is excellent with One large full length compartment another full length compartment in front of that and then a bottom compartment in front of that with a small compartment on top of that one, all have a waterproof looking material on the inside of them, there are also various other pockets inside them some are zipped, some are not and some are mesh material. There is 'Molle' webbing all over the front of the pack and sides, useful for clipping or tying onto, and there is a velcro section on the front of the small pocket on the front of the pack to fix any patches. This is a very comfortable pack to wear, the shoulder straps are strong and firmly padded, and even under load the pack doesn't feel heavy, you have chest and waist straps with very strong, thick buckles/clips and all the extra strap that always dangles and gets in the way are secured with velcro strips a very nice feature, the section that is in contact with your back is padded nicely and this also acts as a extra storage area if required and is opened and closed with velcro, the rucksack fits me nicely and the colour black looks amazing. As I've stated this rucksack is well worthy of the 5 stars i have given it and all the praise from other reviewers. Highly recommended.

Very good quality and durability
Had this a few years now. Wasn't sure at first if it was built to last, but it has proved itself! I started using it just for going to work, and the gym, but then started using it for travelling work stays, which required it being absolutely full and knocked about. Then holiday use on top. And for cycling trips. And shopping. I thought it wouldn't last, but it has. It is still pretty unscathed. Straps are great quality, still padded and comfortable even now like new. Pocket arrangements are great. Good strong zips. Great carry handle - ultra robust, as you require. Black is neutral and discreet. Was short shower proof, I would imagine same now. You could put a lining in, however that wouldn't cover all the pockets. So if you want waterproof, buy a cover with an elastic band. Back padding okay, but has lost a little support. Overall lost a little shape. Still comfortable to wear, wouldn't hesitate for a cycle ride, and walking, and still use for trips and holidays and gym etc. For this sector of the market, this was an extremely good buy. However, are they all going to be produced the same?

A proper pack and a proper bargain! Highly recommended!
Nothing but good things to say about this. This is a great "little" pack. The picture does not do it justice. It is rugged, with good strong large zips, adjustable and removable straps and well thought out compartments. There are two, full depth pockets. The one nearest your back, has a further zipped compartment and a mesh compartment attached to the inside front bit. The second full compartment has a small compartment on the back surface, with two smaller mesh pockets attachd to this. At the front, the top compartment is a great size for things you want to acess quickly (keys...first aid pack) and the bottom compartment is about half depth, with further pockets. All zipped pockets have thick plastic on external faces to help keep things from getting wet. The straps are thick and generously padded, as is the back. It is very comfortable. It has a (detachable) heavy duty clasp strap to go around your waist to help with carrying, if the weight starts to stack up. There is no chest strap included, but there are strap holes on the main straps for it, so you can attached as needed. There are, of course, the additional molle features, so you can add as many additional bits and pieces as you like to the outside. Don't be put off by the silly name, this a great day or hiking pack. Also, the picture makes the pack look grey in colour. I can confirm that it is black. I have owned a LOT of packs over the years, as my job has taken me all over the world and a pack was essential kit. This is superior to all but one that I owned, many moons ago, in another life. It really is that good. It is not fancy, has no side pockets, no frilly bits and no designer label. But it will take plenty of stick and it will not let you down. For the price of £20, I'm now tempted to buy another one straight away as a back up. Twenty quid! Recommended.

Very good backpack
Brilliantly sturdy backpack, the inside is lined with rubber so its very water resistant. It managed to contain a coffee i spilled inside of it with only a minor drip!

Pretty sweet but...
It isnt perfect. But I do like this bag. Its cheap, its sturdy, and chances are, it'll last until my next upgrade. Although the pack dosnt come with 'bombproof' materials like that of maxepedition, or 5.11, it's still got some really tough nylon, and pretty decent stiching. However I would be careful with with this bag because the way the compression straps are placed in order to reduce manufacturing costs (The bag is a german clone after all). It wouldnt be a suprise if they were to fail me after to carrying more than 40-50 pounds. Also the velco latching for the hyrdation pouch (back pocket) ripped off after about a weeks use, but that was easily fixed with some basic stiching and super glue. The reason I'm not giving it a full five stars though, is because of the vital sternum straps that the designers were to lazy to include. When your carrying a load of weight, chest straps are essential really. I've had to custom tailor my own belt onto it which is abit of mission really, but it'll be worth it. Personally I would'nt mind paying an extra fiver for better stiching and chest straps, but for 30 quid I cant really complain. In conclusion, if your looking for a good bag to serve as your companion backpack/ rucksack, i'd say go for it! For 30 quid, you cant really go wrong! But unless your willing to stick in some addional elbow grease for some of the annoying flaws, I'd invest abit more into finding the 'perfect pack'.

10/10 Will buy again
I bought this bag 10 years ago, it's been used almost every day, worn through long walks, cycling trips, survived a motorbike crash, many cycles through the washer, this item has far outperformed any other item I have ever owned in my life. My bag has been through a lot, for a very long time. The fabric has worn so thin now though, that my sewing skills aren't enough anymore. Amazing bag, I've come back to write this review and buy another.
