Great addition to the toolbox.
After installing skirting boards a few years ago, when I conformed to the mantra 'Do your best, and caulk the rest', I decided to acquire the proper tools to do a proper job. This digital angle finder has been a godsend. Some walls were as much as 2 degrees out, or 1 degree either way on an internal/external joint. This makes more of a difference than you would believe.Being able to make precise mitre cuts, has enabled me to bond skirting board corners before fixing to the wall, which made for a professional finish, and far less caulking. I'm very impressed with this tool, and I'll be using it to put up picture rails and panelling in due course. I only wish I'd bought one sooner. The only slight niggle for me, was the battery compartment for the supplied CR2032 battery is not the easiest to access. I ended up unscrewing the module to gain access. It's not worth deducting a star for, as I'm otherwise very pleased with the product.

Works great
Works great but after a few months of using it the battery case becomes loose and you have to keep pushing it in. The design is good but the battery case definitely needs a redesign. Good value for money and the accuracy is spot on to the .0 of a degree. Every easy to use with just 2 buttons, on and off and reset to 0

Great tool when you need to measure angles precisely.
An excellent product which I have used a lot after purchasing it last year. I have found it very useful - now indispensable - when setting the blade angle and alignment on my saw bench and mitre saw. Previously I relied on a set square or protractor and sliding bevel, but this digital angle rule is more accurate and is easier to use. Recently I used it to set up m mitre saw's blade at an angle 22.5 degrees to make an octagonal picture frame. This is a standard 'stop' on the saw, but it turned out to be approximately 1 degree out when measured with the angle rule. I was able to fine-tune the setting to within one third of 1 degree and as a result the octagonal frame fitted together with no noticeable gaps between the mating surfaces after glue-up. It will save you time and money especially the cost of rework you otherwise would almost certainly have. It will pay for itself, depending on the project, the first few times you use it. But please note that although the angle rule is extremely accurate you need to take care when positioning it against a saw blade and the fence as it is possible to get a false reading. Measure twice, cut once!

Essential Angle Finder
Superb tool that is very, very useful for those of us doing a lot of joinery and cabinet making. I bought this because I was fitting skirting boards in a house without a square corner in the house. With this I simple found the corner angle and divided by two when using my chop saw. Made the job a damn sight easier.Of course you can use this to set up your machine tools as well. Ideal for bench saws, chop saws and bandsaws. When power it up you first set the zero point. You can do this at any angle but I tend to do it against itself if closed up, or against a straight edge or engineers square. After that you can find and transfer angles to 0.1 of a degree which is plenty accurate enough for working in wood. After a short period of time the unit auto shuts down to save the button battery. It also comes with a spare.Quality of build is excellent. No issues there despite the Far Eastern build.

Accurate , clear readout, but no case included
As you'd expect from Trend, it's a good, solid piece of kit. I'm a keen DIY-er and have used it to measure ridge tile angles and for getting the angle of cut right on block paving.Good points:battery is included; The digital readout is clear, although not back-illuminated;The markings on the rule are clear, so it's good for measuring too."Could Do Better" Point:For the price, I'd expect it to come in a case. Instead you have to buy the specific case for this tool separatelyHandy Hint:Definitely get the case. It has a space to keep the battery out of the tool itself. This is useful if, like me, you won't use it often and will prevent it from decomposing in the tool after a few years of storage.
