I've owned two of these and both had the same problem. If I place a container on the scale first (measuring cup, bowl, etc.) and then press the tare button, the scale resets to zero. However, in a few seconds the scale sometimes (but not always) adds 1 -3 grams, making exact measurement impossible. Really annoying. Other inexpensive, Amazon best sellers don't have this problem.

I bought this to weigh guinea pigs and it's a little small. Buy a bigger one! I'm sure it's fine for measuring herbs and food items, though.

Check online, this is a common error with this device. Not sure on quality of product when its only been used as intended, for light tasks / weighing.Maybe buy Amazon own-brand in future?
