Works well

i was super intrgiued by the look of this product so i deicded to go for it. it is super nice feeling on the skin, lightweight. it doesnt feel greasy, but it can be seen on the skin so i dont recommend wearing it without foundation. it definitely works well for redness, ut i still need an extra orange colour corrector under my eyes for my dark circles. it defiitely brightens my complexion and allows my foundation to match my skin much better. i wish it was a bit cheaper, as it came in a plastic bottle and doesn't feel like it should be considered 'luxury' despite the brand. overall, really nice and i do recommend

I've given this product a couple of weeks of daily usage and let's break down the pros and cons of using this versus other primers. Pros The green pigment seems to eliminate/balance some redness on my face which is a good start for priming. (Although I've seen this done better with other products.) It dispenses nicely and is easy to apply, I've found it leaves my skin feeling very smooth! I've had zero issues with makeup pilling using this primer, which means it's also quite versatile. Cons The price tag for the primer appears to be quite steep. The bottle being transparent gives me a clear indication that I'm getting through the product quickly, despite using small pea sized pumps. In other words you simply don't get that much product for the price. In the two weeks I've used it, I'm more than half way through the bottle. Although the product is slightly superior to a standard drug store primer, the difference is negligible if you consider it costs over double the price. My overall impression is that while this product is decent at priming, eliminating some redness/leaving your skin with a soft feel, it simply doesn't warrant the hefty price tag. When you compare it to drug store brands such as the marshmallow primer or E.L.F poreless putty primer, they offer great results for a portion of the price. I'll still be using this product as I think it's great but I probably won't be repurchasing in the future.

I have been using this product for 10+ years as a primer. It was formerly just called one step illuminate. It sits well under all foundation types and is not glittery under makeup. It is also very brightening and reduces redness.

I wish I had found this before! It's perfect for smoothing out the skin before applying foundation or a tinted moisturiser. It has a thick and sticky consistency - it feels as though your foundation has something to stick too all day, yet it is light on the skin so perfect on its own when you're having a good skin day! Its not drying like some primers can be, and the colour correcting aspect is amazing - i looooove the packaging - just looking at the product makes me happy! An absolute miracle product, so thank you! Rated 4 stars for value for money - for the size of the product it is quite expensive! But it is worth saving up for if you're looking for a primer or a colour correcting product.

Good product leaving the skin smooth but not well suited for my light olive skin - doesn’t really hide the darkness under the eyes or acne marks and leave me with a skin too white.

Love this when Im having a no make up day. I just pop it on to even my skin tone then stick a bit bronzer on and Im good to go.

Doesn't walk the talk

Arrived on time, as described, albeit arrived quite banged up (top of box was open??) But the product itself is good. Stila 1 step is a good replacement for anyone who hates the feel of foundation and concealer or perhaps cannot use them due to breakouts. This product lessens the appearance or redness and other slight imperfections, and does this without feeling like you have on a face of make-up. I am a bit apprehensive when buying make-up and personal care items from Amazon, but I'm happy with this one and will buy again.

I have been using this for awhile and can imagine using anything different. It goes on smooth and blends in well. It covers redness and veins and reduces pores. I love it
