Perfect
I didn’t actually look for this set. I was looking at another set that had a good review but this guy that was reviewing it said this set was much better so I purchased it and I’m very happy as a single woman. I finally have a socket set. I like that it has a case that holds them as well so they don’t get mixed in with my big rolling work bench toolbox.

Nice set, but we returned it
This is a very nice looking set in a sturdy case, but the one socket we needed first, a 10 mm, had a divot in it so it wouldn't attach to the ratchet. If that hadn't happened, we would have loved the set. We did return it and got a different set on sale. The seller shipped quickly and also accepted the return without issue.

Does the Job
I love reading the reviews about this socket set that criticise it for not being a top-of-the-line set (i.e., critiquing the number of teeth in the ratchet gears). My simple thought is this: If you want Craftsman quality, buy Craftsman. Don't buy a Chevy and then complain that it's not a Rolls Royce. You get what you pay for. For someone that doesn't repair cars for a living, I wasn't looking for anything fancy or expensive. The number of times a year I need a socket set can probably be counted on one hand, but boy when you NEED a socket and ratchet and don't HAVE one - let me tell you, the irritation factor is about 100. I have loaned out so many sets of tools over the years that I never got back that I made the decision to stop spending big money for other peoples' collections. (I'm too nice a guy to simply stop loaning my tools out to people, so this was the only option left that made sense.) So when the time came recently that I was needing sockets more and more frequently, and the fellow I loaned my other set out to was "unavailable" for me to get them back, off to Amazon I went for yet another replacement. I came across these, saw the price, saw the number of sockets and ratchets you get with it, and I thought, "Eh, why not? If I don't get these back after loaning them out, I'm not out much." When they arrived the next day (I'm a Prime person) and I set them to task, they didn't come close to disappointing me. The fact that the ratchets don't click 3,000 times per complete revolution didn't phase me a bit. The sockets I used didn't slip, they didn't come off the ratchet, this set had the ones I needed (and one of them was a 15mm, which doesn't come standard in all sets) - they just worked like they're supposed to. Will I be taking these out and driving over them with an 18-wheeler to see if they hold up to severe abuse? Nah. Will I leave them out in the pouring rain for a week to see if they rust and corrode? Nope. I don't see myself working on anything in the pouring rain or underwater any time soon, so I don't care about that. Am I mad they don't have a fancy name stamped into each piece of the set? Nope. (And I'm a BMW 750Li driver, so yeah - I'll spend some mad money on some things, but on the things that it doesn't really matter? Pass.) If you're an occasional DIYer and just need a set of sockets to get the job done, these'll do ya just fine, and you won't have buyer's remorse if you don't use them more than a handful of times a year (or you loan them out and don't get them back...again). I won't hesitate to buy these again when the time comes, and I will certainly buy other tool sets from this manufacturer without giving it a second thought.

Good value in a nice set of sockets
After moving, and downsizing several times the past few years, I found most of my tools were missing, I probably sold them during a weak moment at garage sales. While searching for a socket to repair my grandson's bike, I found all I had was several ratchet handles but only 1 19mm socket. I'm not turning wrenches for a living, I just wanted to pick up a complete set of sockets in an organized case. After reading the reviews, this EPauto 45 piece set seemed to be a worthwhile investment. I believe for the average homeowner who might need a socket from time to time, they will find this set is perfect. The sockets are well made with a nice chrome plated finish. No sign of flaking. They are 6 point so they grip well. The SAE sizes are in the top part of the case, snuggly held in place so they don't fall out when you open and close the case. The metrics are in the bottom, fairly loose, so pay attention to the "top" sticker they put on the outside of the case . The case will open and lay flat so you have easy access while you're working. The rachet handle seems smooth, I haven't used it a lot so I can't say anything about the durability, I'm sure it's adequate for home use. If you're looking for a nice inexpensive set of sockets, I would look no further than these. I think you'll be pleased.

Pretty good if you need a starter set
I ordered this set because I was about to set out on the task of changing out my own alternator because I couldn't afford to take my car into the shop. Decided a DIY would be the way to go and would be simple enough. I was given the advice to choose a socket set that has a complete selection of sizes because as luck would have it you'll typically need whatever socket size was missing eventually anyway. They look really nice, the case is sturdy and the pieces all fit in snugly and look neat. The sockets themselves are pretty high quality and put up under lots of use and abuse on stuck on bolts without any smoothing or denting. The ratchet itself seemed pretty sturdy at first, despite what some other reviews mentioned about it being made for a child or woman I honestly don't share the same sentiment. It's a pretty solid ratchet with decent grip and length. However I think the actual ratchet and teeth mechanism might be just average. When tasked with a stuck bolt I spent a day trying to use the included ratchet + a cheater bar at times and honestly couldn't make it budge. Pulled my back in the process though. However the next day I came in with a harbor freight Pittsburgh brand swivel head ratchet and it took one pull to get it going and let me get that bolt out. But overall you know it's a complete set, you'll need different sized ratchets for different tasks and I think you could benefit from this set regardless. The ratchet performed well at all other uses, just isnt the best for more tough bolts. I like the set, I think I'll be keeping it. Don't know how often I'll be needing to pull it out but the sockets are great, numbered clearly, fit well. So I'd say it's a great starter - intermediate set, but for situations needing higher torque be prepared to purchase some higher quality ratchets.

Compact, Smooth, and Surprisingly High Quality
I’m honestly so impressed with this socket set. For the price, the quality is way better than I expected. The 72-tooth ratchet is super smooth and makes working in tight spaces really easy—you barely need to move your hand to get it going. The sockets themselves feel solid and well-made, and everything fits snugly with no slipping. I also love how compact and organized the set is—perfect for keeping in the car or a small toolbox without taking up a ton of space. I’ve used it for a few small repairs and quick fixes around the house, and it’s handled everything without any issues. Great value, reliable, and easy to use. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants a dependable, no-fuss socket set!

One Year Of Use Still Going Strong
I've been using and mistreating this socket set now for almost 1 year. It has never let me down. The ratchets and sockets have never slipped and they fit nicely on the bolts..other than some blemishes on the sockets from rubbing on parts being removed from my car etc, the chrome has held up nicely. I have used these sockets (with an adapter) with my 1/2 drive impact wrench..if they were going to fail this was the time when they would have...but so far they have withstood the force. I have also used these sockets with a large breaker bar and they have not cracked. The ratchets work smoothly and are also serviceable...you can take them apart, clean ad re-lubricate them if you wish. These are every bit as good as the Craftsman socket set i purchased back in the 1980's. One of the features I really like has nothing to to do with the sockets themselves but the case. I usually can not stand these types of cases but this one is an exception, It is the usual blow molded plastic but is is high quality and sturdy. It has decent hinges and nice clasps. The sockets are also easy to get in and out. For those of you who have ever tried to remove sockets from some of those cheap overly tight cases with greasy, oily fingers you ill know what I am talking about. More importantly, the case also makes it extremely easy to put them back when you are done. You just drop them back into their marked area in the case...no having to force them back into overly tight fitting slots. This is probably why I haven't lost any of them yet. The only minor fault I have to mention is the lever on the 3/8 ratchet seems easy to accidentally reverse if it hits something when being used in a confined space. This great value for the money. around $1 per piece CDN even less in $USD...and they are real pieces. This set of 69 = 69 real sockets, ratchets and extensions. No filler screwdriver bits and allen keys to increase the piece count. It is also both SAE and Metric so it covers most of my needs in 1/4 and 3/8 drive sockets. This is about as close to 5 stars as you can get.
