The coolest G-Shock
I purchased from Perolamar, a seller here on amazon. Delivery took 10 days as they are based in Portugal but it was the best price and it is hard to find this model elsewhere in the UK and they are an authorised Casio seller. Anyways, the watch -Positives:- The aesthetics. It looks beautiful with the minimal design and black-on-black colour scheme.- The display contrast is good and time is visible at wide angles- The current time is available when in stopwatch and timer modes.- You can use the timer for things less than a minute, e.g. 20 seconds unlike some other models.Google 'Casio module 3229 manual' if you want to know more about the full functions.Negatives:- The top left button is recessed which itself is not unusual for a Casio as it is the 'adjustment' button, but I am disappointed Casio decided to make this hard-to-use-frequently button the one to use to reset the stopwatch. It makes things difficult for quick stopwatch use as you need to more or less your finger nails to press this button.- There is no way to silence the 'operation beep' which sounds each time you change modes e.g. go to alarm, stopwatch etc. So not so stealthy in that regard, if you are in a top secret location like an exam hall :)- Because the face surrounding the display is more plain and does not have busy text like other models, dust and finger smears are more noticeable and necessitate more frequent cleaning if you are O.C.D (a common household microfibre cloth does the job nicely in a second or two).

Perfect
I'm a bit of a watch collector and must have had 50+ G-Shocks over the past 20 years. I buy them, wear them for a few months, then sell them on and buy another one. However the 5600 series is one that I always go back to; for my wrist it's just the perfect size, I love its simple square design, and it doesn't have any silly gimmicks that I don't need such as a moon or tide graph. So a few days ago I was about to spend £85 on the solar-powered atomic version, but then I gave some more thought to this one, the battery powered non-solar version. It was £22 cheaper at £63, and I had to be honest with myself, I didn't feel it was worth an additional £22 for solar atomic timekeeping.G-Shocks tend to have a long battery life anyway, usually between 5-10 years. And what's the use in atomic timekeeping when you have access to a smart phone? These digital modules are generally accurate to a few seconds a month anyway, and it only takes a brief moment to synchronise them again if they do lose or gain a few seconds.I've seen other people say that the negative digital display can be hard to read, but this isn't the case for me. I can look at the watch indoors or outdoors and it isn't difficult to read the time.Features include an alarm, hourly chime, countdown timer and stopwatch. All of these are useless to me, the only thing I use a watch for is telling the time, and the 5600-BB does it perfectly. If you want a good looking watch that's a little bit different but not ridiculously large, you simply can't go wrong with this model.

Fantastic everyday urban watch
Great smaller gents size means the strap sits comfortably and hugs the wrist and fits under a sleeve. Negative display a little more difficult to read and buttons too small and recessed to be used with gloves on, so perhaps not the best choice G Shock for the outdoorsman; but for urban everyday use it is perfect, durable and discreet.

Very cool G-shock!
This is a really cool watch, when you are looking for the positives of a G-shock with a cleaner design. It comes with all the standard features. ( Time, with day, date, 12h or 24h display, one set alarm, hourly alarm, stop-watch and timer)The negative display looks really cool but it is more difficult to read than a positive display. Apart from that it is a great watch!

Simple, rugged and functional. Perfect.
Love the minimalist style of this g-shock... I only need to see the time and date... and that's what I get (unlike the cluttered displays of some other models). The watch is just chunky enough, without looking comically big and the solid black styling is nice and tasteful. It's also cheaper than many of the other G-Shock models. My 2 previous g-shocks both lasted 6 years and I'll be happy if this does the same.Simple, rugged and functional.

Great watch
Customers who appreciate clean and minimalistic design will appreciate this watch. It fits well and it feels comfortable. You can read the digital display easily. The only disadvantage that I can think of is that the edges on the side of the buttons should have been more rounded as I think they can irritate your fingers if you use the buttons more often.

Doesn't live up to the G-Shock hype
There's so much hype around Casio and G-Shock right now that I got suckered into it. I do think the smart watch bubble is about to burst in my case due to cyber privacy concerns and being bombarded by notifications. But there's so much hype around G-Shock I thought I'd try this one out. The screen is so small it feels ridiculous given the size of the case. I had no issues with reading the screen it was really just that I didn't like the aesthetic. Also I didn't really like the feel of the strap it was so plasticy I guess ive gotten used to silicone straps and their natural hugging feel that this plastic strap felt too hard and unengaging to me.
