Was right for Yamaha LLX6A - not anymore
I loved my original set of strings (FS50BT) on my Yamaha guitar. Then I wanted some the same. But problems were ahead.... Briefly, Amazon replaced the original faulty (rough and Black sections on E and B) set of strings ordered from them. However, the replacement (made in Indonesia) strings high strings E and B were also faulty - they had black rough sections on (hence no good for guitar or fingers). Amazon has refunded me (thank you) . Pity about the strings - and I just hope Yamaha fix this problem. Meanwhile.... 20.2.18

These strings are very bright with lots of sustain.

Just wanted to write a quick review on these strings! I'm a huge fan of Yamaha Guitars in general, and recently bought a new FG800 in matte finish. Wonderful sound, as I believe is has a bit more open sound without the thick poly finish. Upon changing the strings to my go to, Elixir Nano PB lights, I noticed that the guitar lost a lot of what I liked about its initial sound. I searched the web and found that these are the original strings from Yamaha, and that they are coated as well. I bought a set and after installation, there's that wonderful sound again. I next swapped out the strings on my Guild DS240 sloped shoulder, and again a much improved sound! I know sound is subjective, so here's my take. These strings would be great for a player that is looking for a less high and brassy sound. These would be a combination of an Elixir and a Martin Retro string to my ears. More of an emphasis in the mids to lows, and less on the top end. The strings seem to last a long time and have a great feel to them. Will definitely be buying more.

Cordes d'origine de ma SLG200S. Je les avais remplacées par les d'addario recommandées par Yamaha (les plus chères de la gamme de mémoire) car indisponibles pendant longtemps. Quel soulagement de les avoirs retrouvées, ma guitare revit.
