I bought this after my old Bosch gave up the ghost, with the footplate screw having been damaged so that the jig would not sit straight on the wood. I like Bosch and this one seemed the best option for the price i was willing to pay. I'm glad i bought this as it is a brilliant saw for those budding DIYer and also for the tradesman when it comes to cutting wood, plastics, laminates and more, depending on the blades of course.The quick blade change is so easy to get the hang of, just remember to unplug the saw before you do it as your hands are on the blade when you slot it into the housing by lifting the red notch at the front.It has the power to slice through wood and other material. I mainly use wood in my work and this has no trouble slicing through what ever I put in front of it. the footplate is strong, with the easy option of tilting from left to right.The handle has a rubber coating over it which makes gripping it a pleasure with no real hassles with vibrations and the like.The extraction hose fitting is right at the rear which makes it easier to use with the vacuum cleaner hosing not getting in the way of the cutting, which clears the saw dust from the work area.It has the usual trigger at the front underside of the handle with the 'lock on' button just above the trigger. This makes it easy to lock the blade running with just your thumb.So, if you want a simple to use and powerful jigsaw this is the one for you.

A great product from a good brand.

I bought this to replace my old jigsaw.I don’t do much diy, but I do need a jigsaw from time to time and this fits the bill. It’s easy to set up and use although I did buy the splinter guard and guide accessories in addition. I also bought some additional blades.The speed control is very good allowing a slow start, increasing speed as you get comfortable with the job.I’m satisfied that this item will do what I need it to. The case is durable and handy for keeping the saw, the extra blades and a couple of other small bits and pieces.If I was using the saw regularly I’d probably have chosen a cordless version, but the corded one is fine for my purposes.

The media could not be loaded. This is a very good electric jigsaw. It does a good job cutting through wood and chipboard accurately and relatively fast. It is loud and messy, do I recommend using it outdoors as there's a lot of dust produced. I also recommend using safety glasses and a mask.This has made DIY projects easier and more appealing. I can now actually do small carpeting jobs around the house, saving quite a bit of money.This jigsaw is powerful and it cuts through up to 70mm wood depth. It comes with Bosch quality and it seems very well made with no issues so far.I must say, it requires some strength to operate this and it does tire you out after about 20 mins of use. The blades will need frequent changing. I cut about 5 boards and the blade was quite worn out. You can buy a whole set of blades on amazon for an affordable price. It comes with a long cable.Overall this is affordable and makes DIY projects easy, so I recommend it.

Very easy to use with a quick release blade holder. Variable speed trigger also adds to versatility. Good quality should last for many years.
