Good potion plate
Purchased for potion control of meals . So sturdy and the little dip makes it a good plate for piling the salad /vegetables on . Also use it for pasta dishes or anything similar . Like the style and sections of it .

The plate offers the right portion size for measuring but you can't microwave food in it.

Leaves me hungry, but healthy.
Smaller than I expected and plasticier than I expected. So it feels cheap. Which it isn't - really.I'm not overly sold on the proportions either. Seems to be not a lot of space for meat.But it helps me know how much to put on my plate. And I suppose that is what I bought it for. (But it still would be nice as a ceramic)

Does its job
I'm glad I bought this plate. Firstly, it's clearly described as melamine not china, so don't expect a china plate. We eat a lot of rice at home. Previously, I would have rice covering the entire plate, then have vegetables at the edges. Now we all follow the eatwell sections and everyone feels just as full. Result = we're eating so much more vegetables. Someone mentioned the problem with stir fries - what I've done is stir fry vegetables separately, then stir fry prawns/meat separately. To be honest, nothing says we should mix them up. Then cook noodles/rice separately, and serve them the eatwell way. The plate is there to change our eating habits and it does that. Just remember not to put it in the microwave. I warm it by rinsing in warm water and wiping with a kitchen towel so that solves the problem of eating with cold plates.For breakfast, I put pieces of fruit on the green & red sections & a couple of slices of boiled egg on the yellow section.If you want to eat more vegetables and fruit with expected results then this plate would help you achieve this.
