Churchill Blu Willow Mint Dinner Plate, Multi-Colour, 26 cm

Absolutely love this plate it depicts the Chinese proverb of the 2 lovers. The plate is really good quality and it was bought to replace my real bone china plate which broke. This is not bone china but honestly the printing is spot on, everything is proportioned correctly and the colours are good. I have had this plate about 3 years now and it still is like the day it was bought.

We bought two dinner plates to give it a try.The delivery was quick. Very safely packed to avoid breakage. Very good quality and nice pattern. Dishwasher proof. Now we have decided to buy the 20 pieces dinner set to start with in our new home.

I was so glad that these could be ordered individually, and the three I'd ordered arrived in perfect condition, cushioned within ample amounts of bubble wrap and other air filled packing materials. The willow pattern design is the same as on of the dinner set that my grandparents had way back in the mid 1950s, and brings back many fond memories. So, I had to get a few plates for myself in my septuagenarian years because I was fascinated by the visual depictions when I was an infant, and am still fond of them now. Slightly larger than expected, colour paler than my original set so does not match, dissappointed.

Very disappointed as pictures show a set of plates and there was only one! Special offer with Prime next to it, so assumed that meant a good price for the set. Even the picture above this box shows a set.

These plates are exactly what I was hoping for! Many different manufacturers have made a "blue willow" pattern over the course of over 200 years, so there are a lot of examples out there. Of the new ones, this is a beautifully designed example with an excellent finish. It is heavy enough to be durable for everyday use (microwave and dishwasher safe), but as pretty as many of the fine china versions. All the elements of traditional blue willow china are here without any fuzzy, chopped up, uneven, or cartoonish features. My order was fulfilled by China Presentations in London, which explains the expensive shipping costs. But the total price per plate was not at all unreasonable! The box arrived in record time, well-packed, and everything in perfect condition. UPDATE: Nearly 4 years of continuous use later, these plates are still in perfect condition without a single chip, crack, or crazed finish. I love them!!

I just received the items I ordered from China Kingdom, London England, this morning (Jan. 23rd). The dishes are now unpacked, examined, washed and put away in my kitchen cabinet. I found each dish to be uniform in size, the pattern was perfectly placed with excellent coloring, the glaze was evenly distributed, and each dish or bowl stacked perfectly within the others. I especially like the weight, smoothness and rounded contour of the bottom of each dish. My main goal was to purchase a beautiful pattern in blue (Spode is the best in my opinion), and find one that was not "made in China", etc. Before I placed my order for these dishes, I researched the producer Churchill China of England, and the history of Spode. I am very pleased with the entire experience of this purchase and will not hesitate to order again. I most sincerely appreciate the thorough packaging efforts made by this Seller, as well as the quick turnaround of my order from London, England (the order was placed Jan. 18th). This was truly an excellent experience in all categories!

When I lost my parents, I took over the family home and saw two dinner plates that I really liked and thought to myself, "I wish I had an entire set of these, but they've probably been here for 30 or 40 years. Then I looked on Amazon, and found the exact match. I bought them immediately, and they arrived early! Color me surprised and totally satisfied!

This my favorite china pattern. I love the story of the two lovers. It is kind of a Chinese Romeo and Juliet. The dishes arrived in perfect condition. My only complaint was the cost of shipping! I do love them though. When I set my table, it looks like home. When my friend was caring for her sister who was on Hospice, I baked an upside down cake and took it to her on one of these plates. She said that her mom always baked that cake for special occasions. She said, "Oh, Bev, that cake on that beautiful blue plate was such a treat. We sat around and visited about old times and just enjoyed ourselves.". I love having a dish that gave so much pleasure.
