A pouch that has room for growth, and is fit for purpose. Good for those just starting out, or even for someone more experienced looking for a new set. As someone who is new to learning to draw things other than stick figures, I have been reading a few how-to books on drawing. In my case its mostly cartography, but I dabble in other areas too. The one thing that genuinely surprised me was the many different pencil types. I knew there were HB's 2H's and so on, but I did not know their proper usages in regards to art. I started a project recently for a fantasy style map, and was informed I needed a few different pencils and a kneadable eraser. I could have gone out and bought exactly what I needed. But, I decided that considering I was going to get into drawing I may as well get myself a set with a good range of supplies. I was not disappointed. I opened this and my jaw genuinely dropped. I was amazed, excited, like a kid in a toy store. This set is wonderful. The pencils, erasers, and craft knife are all great quality. And I will be honest. for just over £10 I was not expecting much quality. Then we come to the roll up pouch. I love it! It’s nice and compact but contains everything with room for more. Which is something I liked. They had not provided a pouch with just enough space for the provided items, they had provided a pouch that had plenty of spare room for my soon-to-grow art supply collection. It was like they were saying “Here you go, now keep going, there is more to add!” Are there any negatives? Not really. I could say that the elastic straps that hold your equipment are a little too tight, but that shows quality, in my opinion. And any elastic will loosen a little after some use. The strap on the bag has two clips to close it when it has been rolled up. If you use the second clip you tend to have a long part of the leatherette strap that is just hanging. There is nowhere to clip it to so it all looks tidy but it’s not an issue. All in all, I would recommend this to anyone who is just starting out, like me. Or even to someone more experienced who is in search of a new set. The canvas pouch alone would be worth the money in my opinion. But you get so much more. Review: Ideal travel set! - Extremely impressed with this set. I work primarily in coloured pencil and sketch in graphite. I wanted a pencil roll that I could take with me on holiday that would hold the basics and spent a while scrolling through ones of varying degrees of quality and price until this came up as a suggestion. The roll itself is cheaper than most on the market, and then you also receive some pretty fair quality supplies with it. Individual value of these items is more than the total cost so you're buying a bargain! This set is ideal for quick sketching, the range of pencils from simple HB outlining and then your graduation of tones from 2B up to the heavy 8B. Three charcoal pencils give you a little more definition if required, and the sharpening knife is useful if you don't want to carry a big sharpener around - there is space if you want to include a smaller one. The erasers are good quality and the pencil extender is great for when you run down to the stubs! I've not put all the pencils in as you do get lots of duplicates in the lower tones but there's room for me to put some of my Graphik micron pens, a white gel pen and one or two of my water brushes to ensure I have everything I could need. If you're an art student on a tight budget or want something as a travel art selection, this is perfect.

Lovely sketching pouch and supplies for an artist on the go
We are quite the arty family and have stacks of pencils, graphic pens and all the other bits necessary to whip up a drawing or make a craft item or two. Realising my daughter was drawing more and becoming increasingly experimental with her art, we decided to pick up one of these pencil sets for her, so she had everything she needed to hand. This also meant she wouldn't continue picking off my own art supplies, which can be quite frustrating when all your pencils have strolled off somewhere! She was absolutely thrilled with this set, which is neat and tidy enough to be stored on a shelf, with everything inside to hand when she needs them. This also avoids losing items as she can keep them together in a bundle. The pencils are of a good quality, but the biggest addition in this set is the craft knife - an absolute must for 'proper' pencil sharpening, with snap-off blades. When it came to finding a present for my daughter's equally artistic friend, I immediately thought that this would make an ideal present and had no hesitation picking up another set. Needless to say, it was very well received! A great price for a lovely set, perfect for organising and storing your sketching essentials, and great for any artist who needs to travel about with their tools.

Conflicted!
I'm a bit conflicted on this purchase. The wrap works great and you do get a good selection of items to enable you to get cracking with your art but unfortunately you don't get the full range of pencils I.e all the H range and all the B range. Or at least i didn't. I received a HB, 2x2H, B, 4x2B, 2x3B, 4x4B, and on of each 5, 6,7 and 8B. While i don't tend to use the H pencils very often I think it would have been better to have a more inclusive range! So like I said - I'm conflicted. Everything else seems great and I love the wrap but seeing as I originally found the item while looking for some new pencils I feel a little let down.
