Is it strong enough to hold a Blu ray player? I take it you have to supply your own screws as well?

Would this shelf be wide enough to put a xbox on

I have a small sky q box and DVD player on mine. I would make sure it’s going on a solid wall. As it’s held on with two screws. Not the normal bracket for a floating shelf. Plus measure the size of the Xbox. The shelf isn’t that big.

Only a Sky Q box would fit on this shelf. Older style boxes are not suitable for this size I'm afraid.

How deep is the bracket? I want to trim the shelf to 20cm deep but can only do this if the bracket is no deeper than this.

No you will not be able to cut it down that far. Most you can take off is 2cm or the bracket will not only not fit but it will not fit properly either.
