I love Moov, it means I have a PT on my wrist.
I love this. I have just done two weeks at Fit Farm and am missing it. I lost 8cm around my waist so am a size 10 again! Yippee!I don't drive and take medication which means I should avoid the sun. Following the PT is much easier than following a YouTube video and i can take it into the garden where it is shady and work out. I have my iphone 5 strapped to my arm and the moov tech on my wrist. This is much better than bringing my Mac book on the ground, in London the weather is so changeable, one minute sun the a rain shower! It is very easy to set up.It is on sale atm, so cost £45 instead of £55. A personal trainer is £30 so after using twice it has paid for its self.I am in Bipolar atm and the only way out of it is diet and exercise... I can train whenever I want now! ❤️ Moov!I have nothing to complain about!Thea aka The Complaining Queen!

Poor app
The app was poor, the fact that I needed my phone with me in order for it to sync didn't do it for me.

but this has helped me to run for longer more easily and it keeps me motivated
I'm not the fittest and I can't really run for long periods, but this has helped me to run for longer more easily and it keeps me motivated. I find the tips are helpful and feel fitter since using the Moov.I bought this for running and swimming, so only use it for these purposes. I have another fitness band which I use for everyday use, sleep analysis and HR, but this is good for keeping me motivated to improve my running. This product is great for anyone who wants to get fit but cant afford a fitness trainer.

Worst product and customer service ever
I had high hopes for the Moov Now, especially given the number of positive reviews given by various tech sites. However, after 1 month of trying and failing to get the Moov Now to record my swimming laps, I have given up on this useless piece of technology and the company that makes it. Let me elaborate:1 - No matter what I try, EVERY time I have started the lap swim workout on the app, waited for it to load and sync and then sprinted to the pool, I come back to my locker to find that the app no longer gives me an option to stop the session. When syncing the device, the app tells me that it's 'syncing the swim', only to complete with zero laps recorded. Therefore it simply does not do what I need it to. All of the other 'activities' are pointless and do nothing to aid my workouts.2 - I raised this with Moov Support. I got a generic reply back saying that they 'value' feedback but nothing about my particular issue. I replied by providing them screenshots of their own guidance and telling them at what step my device was failing. I got nothing back. Zilch. Nada.If you could take every principle of good customer service and do the total opposite, then that's what Moov do.I should have believe all of the other reviews and trusted my instinct when I realised that Moov haven't updated anything since 2017. Do not waste your money like I did!

Nice but could be so much better
I like my Moove now but sadly it seems th have been designed for the young and fit as the workouts are far too limited for general use so I have both negative and positive comments.PositiveThe Moov Now is an attractive device that uses an easily replacable battery. It stays on your wrist or ankle with no problems even while you sleep. I really dont know how anyone has managed to loose one as mine really is secure. I wear it 24/7 so its been in the gym, hiking, swimming, cycling and even in the steam room when I forgot to take it off and its still going strong. The coaching provides useful feedback but is all geared for you to improve taking no account of your age or fitness levels so it was a shock that after being pleased wth myself for still being able to swim a mile in under an hour at 65 the app suggested I aim to swim five times as far next time! I believe 5mph is Olympic standard so even trying to do that could be dangerous at my age I want to get fitter not kill myself in the process but it proves the app doesnt take the personal data into account when it makes suggestions..The app provides a small range of set workouts to run, cycle, swim, walk, cardio box and do a 7 minute workout, the software seems to record all of those reasonably accurately and then passes some of the data on to my fitness pal and the Apple health app without problems plus it works well with my H7 heart rate monitor but doesnt have a mechanism to export data for more general use.NegativeSadly there is no mechanism in the software to correct an error if you do notice one of the workouts has been recorded incorrectly. The range of activities offered is currently far too limited and other than cardio boxing and 7 minute worksout (which may suit a small group of users won't suit everyone especialy those in my age group), they do not provide workouts for indoor activities; the workouts for running, walking and cycling are all designed for outdoor use. You can use the free running workout on a treadmill but since it uses GPS data for distance and not a step counter you have to enter the distance yourself, sadly if you use 'ride outdoors' on a gym cycle you won't get that option. To be really useful you also need to be able to use a device like this to record a wide range of activites both indoor and out; for example when you use the various machines in a gym, weights and classes like Zumba, pilates, yoga etc and while I have read the suggestions pages sent to Moov so I know that users have suggested these and a variery of other ideas since the first Moov came out nothing has happened so far and there doesnt appear to be any sign that the makers are planning to add any more functionality to the device in the forseeable futurre. You should not buy one of these if all you want is a daily activity tracker because in my experieince the Moov Now's current ability to record active minutes that are not gained through the set workouts is flaky in the least so it is all far too easy to get a false reading. For example I find cleaning my teeth usually shows as active minutes while doing strenuous housework or gardening does not make it into the red 'active' area and desipite contacting Moov support all I got from them was ... " I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback so we can understand where Moov can be improved. Everyone's movement is slightly different which is why we are continuously gathering user's feedback and data so we can make the correct adjustments to the algorithm" which really wasn't any help.Unlike many similar devices this device cannot be used as a time piece.ConclusionIf all you want is a device purely to Run, Walk and Cycle outdoors and Swim or Cardio Box indoors then this can do that pretty well, plus it looks nice, wears well, is very secure and was reasonably economical. If you need a personal coach for any of these five activities then this device is quite unique in providing that function so again you can't go wrong, for example I find the 'walk to sweat' very motivating. and while live feedback comes from your phone so you wont get it while swimming, I felt the app feedback for swimming was interesting its just a shame it doesnt seem to consider the age and fitness of the user which would be easy enough to incorporate if the makers really wanted too. However if you want a reliable 24/7 activity tracker, something that you can use for any activity or something that will also tell you the time buy something else since at the moment this device cant do any of that.

Un-openable!
I've been so far unable to use it. The casing was pretty much welded together - its missing a small lip like you'd get on a watch to pop open the casing easily. You get a tool to open it (plastic) and it also suggests it can be opened with your fingernail - not a chance unless you've they're made of steel. In the end I had to get a precision screwdriver to open it and the force required made damaged the casing so I very much doubt it will be water proof. So poor design. But given other peoples views I'm putting it down to a bad item and waiting on the replacement - lets hope so. And lets hope the supplied battery isn't flat this time either...
