Actually, it does work and it was effective at removing smells and dust. But, it's 1) really ugly and 2) a bit cheap in terms of quality. Oh and it broke so we sent it back

I have 2 of these. Both run all day and all night. They collect a large amount of dust and so far cleaned them out once after 2 months ownership. Easy to clean with a car vac.They pretty much run on silent all the time unless they detect an odour. As soon as they do they go mental for about 30 mins and then resume their silent mode. Can be a bit much when watching TV but you simply use the remote to set them to silent manually from the Auto mode they are in.The definitely reduce the dust build up in the house.I have never seen the allergy or dust lights come on as of yet only the odour one. Hayfever season is imminent so we shall see how they cope in the summer as I get severe attacks of hayfever mid July.Would recommend to anyone who wants a dust reducer and they definitely detect even the slightest odour in the house.

When it's set up and working, this air filter is excellent - five star quality for the way it cleans the air. But it loses threestars immediately for me because of a serious flaw in its design.The unit works by establishing a base-line of good air quality when you first power it on. Which is itself a bit unfortunate,if you're buying it because you have poor air quality in your home, rather than because you need to counter occasionally-produced pollutants. But I can understand the thinking there: I wouldn't want the thing powering on at full power all the timeto try to get the air in my home to match the air quality in the Alps, say. Especially as the reason I bought it is because Ilive upstairs from a heavy smoker, whose smoke finds it way into my kitchen, no matter what we try to block it off. But there'sno battery on board to power that memory: the unit is entirely dependent on mains electricity for its power supply. So you can'tset the air quality sensor in one room, switch off and move the unit to the location where the problem is.(Not in any worthwhileway, anyway.) And how dumb is that, when the thing needs cleaning inside every two months? Can't wait to try to thoroughlyventilate the kitchen in the depths of winter....Actually cleaning inside this thing is such a palaver that I docked it the fourth star as well. (So if you don't fancy carefullyscrubbing a metal grid with a toothbrush every couple of months whilst being careful not to break very flimsy-looking,electrical wires, this one's definitely not for you.) As well as generally removing all the dust inside, you're supposed toclean the dust sensor when the unit needs cleaning - which means disconnecting the cable from the sensor unit, opening it up byremoving a couple of tiny screws, dabbing away at the innards with a cotton bud and then putting it all back together, having'carefully remembered' how it was all put together when you found it. Very carefully remembered: there's no diagram in theinstruction leaflet of how the cable fits into the unit. Which is such a snug fit that it's defeated all my efforts to removethe thing - so I'm not too optimistic about it lasting all that long.

This was purchased to replace a 10 year old model for which replacement filters are no longer available. It is slightly more bulky, in depth than its predecessor, and looks a bit "Cybreman" but it still fits our property without problem. We leave it on Auto setting where it is inaudible, and it spools up to a higher speed when needed. I have left it at 4 stars because the remote control feels slightly flimsy. Overall we are very satisfied with the purchase, and will update the review when we have done the first "clean out".

Brilliant piece of equipment and the second one I have purchased. The first was bought 3years ago because my wife has COPD and anything that helps to purify the air is a great aid. We had used other equipment but performance was never up to the required standard or the units were so noisy that use in a bedroom was not possible. This unit is at times almost silent and never so loud as to be intrusive. Seeing the accumulation of debris that is in the filters after a period of use shows just how much rubbish is in the air and how much one breaths in on a daily basis. There is just one small fault with this unit and that is the blue power-on indicator light that is a little intrusive if you need a dark bedroom. However, this is a minuscule problem easily fixed by covering it with a sticking plaster or similar. If you are buying this type of equipment perhaps the fact that our first purchase has operated 24/7 for the three years since purchase is a good recommendation. Another plus is that when we needed a new Hepa filter we were able to get one. For two of our previous units they had stopped production of 'that model' meaning that the units were then useless!

After I have seen the video presentations I had great expectations regarding this Air Purifier. However I have not seen (as stated in the presentations lack of dust in the room) or felt any difference. Also after around three weeks the alarm started showing that I needed to clean the Iron Grid, however when I opened it I found it was clean. Nevertheless I cleaned it (since the alarm was showing that it needed to be cleaned), and it still keep showing that I need to clean the grid. I expected this Air Purifier to be more effective.

An efficient machine,difficulty with one of the censors once machine has been cleaned as per the manufacturers instructions.

After some years the many filters need a lot of cleaning. Oh well.
