Safari: A Photicular Book

A book must have for kids, good quality, and so much fun, my little one loves it

Brilliant book. Described as very good condition and was almost new. Very pleased. Probably the best 2nd hand book I’ve purchased. Used in a NHS waiting room for children. Someone walked off with the last one so wanted to replace. Great book.

This is such an amazing book! I can't wait to research the photicular scientific information with my son. So very intriguing.

I ordered this book as a gift for my sister in law with whom we had shared a safari holiday in Africa. As I was so taken with it I ordered a second copy, enabling me to keep one myself. The photicular pictures are amazing and the write up a description that took me right back to that wonderful experience. A good value book that will give pleasure to many for a long time. Children and adults are fascinated by the 'moving' animals. A real five star treat.

I bought this as a gift. Whilst it isn't something you would read over and over, it is all about the pictures. The recipient loved it! It definitely has the wow factor. I particularly like how the pictures somehow capture the 'essence' of each animal, somehow their movements are more defined in the photicular pictures than say, on tv.

Beautiful book, and though some pages are of thinnish paper, and so, perhaps easily torn by a two-year old; my grandson loves it and hey - there's always Sellotape for running repairs. Thoroughly recommend as a special gift. Magically moving pictures and interesting, informative text for a parent to read.

This book is spectacular. I bought it for my godsons who are 2 and 4 and they were totally in awe when they opened it - the could not stop flipping through the pages. What I didn't expect, however, was how much the adults loved it too! They seemed just as amazed as the kids. It's very sturdy and very chunky (probably a couple of inches thick). It has moving photos and information about 8 different animals. Highly, highly recommended - I am going straight out to buy the other two books like this.

me había llegado este libro hace unos días, no entiendo cómo siendo un libro caro y delicado lo mandan en una bolsa sin protección, el título llegó dañado...lo devolví pidiendo el reembolso...pues me acaba de llegar NUEVAMENTE y llega MALTRATADO, PORQUE LO MANDAN EN BOLSA...QUÉ ONDA? no me pueden devolver el dinero o MANDAR EL LIBRO EN UNA CAJA???

Ein schönes Buch mit Wackelbildern. Die Kinder sind fasziniert

Voilà un cadeau idéal pour de jeunes enfants ; je l’ai offert à mon fils pour ses deux ans et réclame tous les jours de le feuilleter. Il faut dire qu’il n’est pas très long à regarder, puisqu’il ne contient que 8 photos. Dans cet album Safari, on trouvera le guépard, une lionne, un gorille, un rhinocéros, un zèbre, un éléphant une gazelle, et une girafe. Cela peut paraître peu, surtout pour un livre de 5 cm d’épaisseur (oui, oui, 5cm), mais la qualité compense la qualité. Chaque photo utilise en fait un effet lenticulaire (comme ces cartes postales épaisses « en 3D ») afin de donner un véritable mouvement à chaque animal. Le petit « plus » qui fait toute la différence avec d’autres livres animés est que chaque photo est articulée dans la reliure, ce qui fait que chaque image s’anime « toute seule » en tournant simplement la page. C’est tout bête, mais encore fallait-il y penser, et l’effet est absolument saisissant. C’est la succession des couches de carton léger, des couvertures lenticulaires et de la couverture en épais carton rigide qui justifie l’épaisseur. L’ensemble est solide et ne risque pas de s’abimer rapidement. La seule fragilité à noter concerne les revêtements lenticulaires en plastique. Il est tentant pour des petites mains d’y accrocher des ongles, mais le plastique peut s’abîmer à force. Il vaut donc mieux le feuilleter avec l’enfant afin qu’il ne touche pas directement les photos. Pour les adultes, il faut noter que chaque photo s’accompagne d’un texte qui s’y rapporte et permet d’avoir un peu de contenu informatif. C’est donc également éducatif. A noter : l’original est en anglais , mais le livre a un tel succès qu’il a été traduit en français . Il existe actuellement deux autres livres identique : un sur la faune marine et un sur l’univers polaire , qui sont tout aussi réussis !

ho comprato gia due, questo e quello dell oceano. Questo per regalare ad un bambino di tre anni... ovviamente è un libro per vedere con un adulto...ma è un libro magico! nel compleanno tutti chiedevano e volevano vederlo...e i bimbi credevano che era un tablet hihihi magia...
