Bone dry after 6 weeks
Works well if used properly. Really simple to use provided you respect its limits and use it responsibly. Used over Christmas as a junction box to put an old extension lead in. Plenty of room for transformers plugged into a 4g splitter and the sturdy plastic construction and decent seals have kept it bone dry over the last 5 weeks. Top product, bargain.

Excellent replacement for ageing power box.
Bought to replace ageing box of same make which has weathered badly and no longer water tight. Ideal replacement where previous installation has cable and socket so just swapping casing. Easy to use and provides good connectivity. Ideal for Xmas lights etc. If you require cable and connector block you need to buy next model up also on Amazon. I would recommend.

Masterplug WBX-MS Weatherproof Electric Box – Tough, Reliable, and Surprisingly Spacious
The Masterplug WBX-MS has quickly become a staple in my garden and outdoor setup. It’s one of those “buy once, use for years” pieces of kit — simple but built to do its job well. ✅ Why it works so well: • Truly weatherproof – After weeks of rain (UK-style drizzle and full-on downpours), not a single drop made it inside. The seals are tight and the clamping lid locks down firmly. • Good internal space – Easily fits a chunky plug extension and multiple adapters without it feeling cramped. There’s also room to run cables cleanly out the bottom while still sealing the lid. • Versatile mounting – It’s easy to secure to a wall, fence post, or even use freestanding if needed. • Great for temporary setups – Perfect for Christmas lights, patio heaters, outdoor entertainment gear, or a pond pump. 🛠️ What to be aware of: • Lid can be a bit stiff at first – But it softens up with use. That stiffness is probably what keeps the weather out! • Check your plug sizes – Very large timers or awkward plug designs might be a tight fit (though most standard ones are fine). 💬 Final thoughts: If you need a reliable, no-fuss weatherproof box for outdoor electrics, this one does the job excellently. Feels solid, protects well, and is more spacious than it looks at first glance. I’d confidently recommend it for both permanent installs and seasonal use.

Good product, does what it should.
Box works fine although wiring entries are fiddly. Mind you, they have to be watertight so that explains things. I've bought two units in Dec, 2024 to augment the two other exactly similar units bought some years ago. The older units are showing signs of wear and the box upper and base are not sealing tightly so, for this season, I've used aluminium foil self adhesive tape to seal the edges. This is not 8ntended as a criticism! Some observations 1. The boxes are not intended as a permanent solution 2. Biggest problem in use comes from the accessories attached. Different Christmas lights come with very different plug/transformers. Some have a transformer in line, others have a 90° turn. Having to use a mixture of these can overfill the box. This may well be the reason that the older units are showing signs of strain ... Would I buy more? I just have, and will probably buy another two for use next Christmas. They work well, and are robust. Space is adequate to take a 4 plug extension but maybe compromised by the style of plug/transformers being added. Not a problem with the box! Value for money? Certainly
