Done the trick. Stopped my paint being clumpy and thinned it out for me.

Awesome product
I’m a hobby painter who enjoys painting miniatures. The one constant problem a mini painter has is the paint drying on the palette and on the brush. The problem isn’t so much wasting paint it’s that the paint becomes ‘gritty’ and doesn’t flow evenly from the brush. As a bit of an experiment, I thought I’d try a Flow Aid. It was added to by small pot of distilled water at the recommended dosage 1:20 flow aid to water. I can state that the result was dramatic and instant. The benefits were multi-fold:1) The water mix when added to paint seems to thin better (extended?)2) Drying time seems improved (possibly due to above)3) Paint flows much better from brush4) Paint flows better on surface of miniature. To a certain extent, this has reduced my dependence on Acrylic Medium and Retarder but each has it’s place.Just a point that at a 1:20 mix ratio, this bottle will last FOREVER.. I think enough for thinning litres of paint.I recommend this to any miniature painter and I will only be using water mixed with Flow Aid for thinning my paints from now-on. Combined with Acrylic Medium and Retarder, this gives a lot of flexibility. I’m so impressed with Liquitex products that I will be buying their Blending Medium to give that a try also!

Flowaid
A must have for using with acrylic paints. It glides on the canvas lovely and makes the texture really great comparee to thinning paints with water. Highly recommended

Great product but really expensive (like most Liquitex products)
Cant fault the product - I am using it to create my own custom washes from acrylic paints. The price is a bit painful though.

Just what I needed
I’ve recently started doing pain my numbers painting & the acrylic paints can become quite gloppy & thick, this product is fantastic at thinning down the paints to a great consistency for painting. Would well recommend this product

You must water this down…it goes a long way.
The media could not be loaded. I have some acrylic paints that are a little thick for my needs and even adding water didn’t bring them to the right consistency and colour ( if you water down acrylic paints it can lose depth of colour and can go lumpy) I needed a flow aid and having tried other products in this range decided to go for this one. It’s really excellent. Now it clearly states on the bottle that this should be watered down at a ratio of 20 parts water to 1 part flow aid. So I measured the water and added the flow aid with a syringe. I then use this little bit with a brush to rehydrate my paints…. Adding it a bit at a time using a brush means you get the consistency you want. You get an idea from my video…although it was tricky filming one handed:-). I tend not to add it to the paint tub as it’s difficult to judge the amount I need and it’s an expensive way of doing it. I only use what I need by rehydrating as I go along. Because it should be watered down it actually goes a long way and I’ve used very little so far. So if used correctly you actually end up with 20 times volume the size of this bottle. I’m really impressed with this and it’s certainly made my painting experience much easier and the colours at the end are not diminished in any way. Good value for money and I will definitely be ordering this again.
