Great for puncture repairs on the road
Great for quick and easy puncture repairs on the road. So tiny and light you won’t even notice you’re carrying it!Better than messing around with a traditional vulcanised rubber and glue puncture repair kit by the side of the road - you just peel the backing off the pre glued patch and stick it on to the tube.Only meant to be a temporary repair, but personally I find these to be as long lasting as any other puncture repair and generally keep using the tubes with a couple of these patch repairs for months on end until I eventually need to change the tyres.

Perfect solution for quick repairs
I was first sold a pack of these at my local bike park when I got a flat and didn't want to pay for an inner tube or full puncture repair kit.I've not looked back since! The patches come in a little box, approximately 25x25x5mm, so they are very easy to carry no matter what sort of cycling you are doing. Everything other than the pump is included in that box: 6 patches, a piece of sandpaper and some instructions.Fixing punctures with these patches is pretty much instant, with no wait time for glue to set etc, but there is still a level of preparation required:I tend to search for the puncture by ear and then confirm by spraying water from my hydration pack onto the spot in question. This has the added bonus of clearing dust from the innertube before applying the patch. On one occasion I didn't have water, but the patches still worked as well once I'd made sure the inner tube was well clear of dust.Rough up the surface with the sand paper. If the puncture is near the inner tube seam, I take a little extra time around here to make sure there isn't going to be a gap along the seam. Then apply the patch. I've found it works best when the tyre is reasonably inflated so there is less stretch when inflating to full pressure, but there is a reasonable amount of stretch in the patches anyway, so where it's not possible to inflate first I've just made sure the patch is well adhered first.Always check your tyre for the cause - it's rare for the cause to come out of its own accord.Return the inner tube to the tyre and inflate. At this point, the patch is going to be sandwiched tightly between the tube and tyre, so there isn't really a chance of failure after this point as long as you pump up to recommended pressures.I see that there are a minority of negative reviews here saying the patches are ineffective and I honestly cannot understand how that would occur other than a lack of preparation and/or not removing the cause.I've been using these for well over a year now and I've never had one of these patches fail. That's even with my back tube starting to look like it's a patchwork tube!

Easy to use and seems to be a durable tire tube repair patch

Sticks to tube
Patches in convenient little box. Previous puncture repairs have stayed stuck. 0.67p per patch, good value compared to purchasing a new tube and keeps punctured tube out of landfill.

These work really well and it's so tiny.
Great miniature kit. Great quality patches much easier and better stick than old puncture repair kits with the glue, comes with a tiny bit of sandpaper to rough up the tube. Really satisfyingly good product I'd recommend to any cyclist or parent of cyclist!

Small, neat and easy to use, BUT...
Bought these as the traditional glue and patch set I carried was messy, bulky and the glue inevitably dried out once opened. These self adhesive patches are very small and fit easily in a corner of a bag, tool kit, etc. strapped to your bike. The patches are very easy to apply, just roughen the tube surface, peel the backing and apply. Applying centrally is easy as the patch is transparent. Once applied the patch seems to seal very well, allowing you to refit the tyre straight away. The mend I did to a pair of pinch punctures on my road bike tyre held for many months with 90+psi in the tube, no problem.BUT...I recently got another pinch puncture (damn pot holes!) and had to replace the whole inner tube as the split was too big for one of these patches to cover. I used the spare tube I carry which had previously been patched with one of these. After fitting I reinflated but soon heard a hissing. So I took it apart again to find that the patch had developed a gap between the tube and patch forming a channel for the air to leak from.As this was my only spare tube I pulled the old patch off (that was difficult, it does stick very well) and reapplied a new one after cleaning. Refitted and inflated without an issue, but at this point I realised the casing was split from the puncture beyond use (the inner tube was pushing through) and so had to get a new one delivered to the road side by my lad. Took it all apart again, replaced the casing and then refitted but this time as I inflated the air hissed out again. Took it all apart again to find that the new patch had come away from the tube, just like the old one, leaving a channel for the air to leak from. Now my conclusion to this is that, yes these patches work great, they stick really well, they hold, but only for one inflation cycle. If you every have to deflate to do another repair or work on the rim then when you reinflate the patch fails. It looks as if the patch is able to stretch with the inner tube when inflated and still hold securely but when it deflates it does not shrink back to the original size unlike the inner tube, so it stays stretched which means it is then shears from the tube which is now back to its original size. So maybe consider these as a repair at the roadside only with the puncture needing a proper traditional repair once you get back, otherwise you may have problems later if you ever need to deflate the tyre again. Shame :-(
