Bought this for my girlfriend to use in her car. She wanted to use it for hands-free phone calls and to double as a SatNav mount.The product is excellent. Holds either a phone or a SatNav (and probably a tablet!) very securely. You get two magnetic plates in the kit, one larger than the other. She actually has the smaller plate on the heavier device, with no problems. Plates are thin enough to mount behind a battery cover or inside of a case. If you try hard enough, you can obviously shake the device from the mount but in daily use on rough roads it has held without any movement at all.Easy one handed operation to remove or rotate. The windscreen mount is very solid, it will require some force to bend it into the shape you want initially, but after that it seems very stable.As an aside - this type of windscreen mount is great if your phone has power buttons on the side (Like the Nokia Lumia series) that would otherwise be in the way of most jaw mounts. Suitable for heavy duty/rugged cases too.

An absolute winner of a product. I love that there is no faffing about. Jump in the car and the phone suctions on to this super handy device. It comes with 2 magnets - I use one for my iPhone and one for my iPad. 2 devices mounted for the price of 1! I chose black cases for both devices so the black magnet which affixes to the outside of the cases blends in very well. If I had thinner cases on either device then potentially the magnet could sit behind the case, but alas I buy very bulky cases to protect my devices so have to affix the magnet to the outside. The thickness of the magnet is so minial it's barely noticeable.When the iPhone is attached, the magnet is strong and it simply doesn't move. You can swivle it freely between portrait and landscape mode and anything else in between.The mount itself can be easily moved from car to car in case you need to. The magnet on the phone does not attract any other magnet that I have in my pockets (keys etc) which was a concern prior to purchase - but no need to worry. I can't praise this product enough!Since purchasing, my wife has ordered one and several friends too!

Bought 2 of these for gifts and gather that they are the best mounts ever! The suction pads and magnets are very good. In fact, after quite an unfortunate collision with a hefty impact, the phone remained intact on the mount, even though the air bag was released and the car was written off! Not suggesting that you try this but just shows how good the mount is. Also, due to the easy insertion of the magnet between phone and cover, it is very quick to attach to the mount, with no fiddling about with clamps. An extremely good mount which is highly recommended.

Top piece of kit, saw this in another well known high street retailer at a much higher price, so imediately went to Amazon and got it for 1/2 price. Well this is awsome, my phone sticks to it so well you have to use 2 hands to remove it. It has 2 magnets you can use to mount the phone 1 small magnet recommended for phones and a big one for use on tablets. All in all better than any other phone/tablet mount i have owned ever and well worth investing in one..

The best phone holder I've encountered in 20 years. I purchased my first of these at Hal...s, who then dropped the range. I then bought 2 more from Amazon. Although magnetic, the pads hold whatever device you are using well, even on very bumpy roads. I did have one where the adhesive on the plastic flat pad softened in the heat and fell off (it was on a textured surface), but that was solved easily with No more nails - it's stayed in place since!One major benefit of this unit over others is that as there is no 'clamp' around the device, obstruction of drivers view is kept to a minimum, furthermore, replacement pads can be purchased if phone is upgraded or for phones belonging to other drivers (not necessarily of the same type).

Device sometimes falls off at places like speed bumps or uneven roads even when using the supplied mounting plate. After using the mount my contacts also began to duplicate and appear under the wrong category's which I'm not sure if it was coincidence or due to the magnets

I tried two other mounts from Amazone, and both of them had weak magnets that dropped the phone, This is the best it's built strong and the magnet is powerful and holds the phone on great.

Scosche Magnetic Mounts are tough and easy to use,Only downside is the mounts can affect aesthetics of the items you use.
