Having bought other cheaper compressors that all failed to inflate my van tyres to 80psi or struggled and overheated it was a real pleasure to use this item that does exactly what it claims. Nicely engineered with quality parts it runs quietly and effortlessly to inflate van tyres and is worth the money. Full marks.

....on a compressor, and this is the one you should spend it on! I bought this after reading reviews on a few sites,not just on here. Nearly all said that this is an excellent piece of kit, and they were right. I bought this compressor because, as a caravan owner, I regularly need to inflate my car tyres at home and on site. I was fed up with paying £20 or more for 'top of the range' foot pumps, and having all of them wear out in no more than 18 months. So, add that up and it probably comes to more than I paid for this one. The compressor comes in a very useful bag, and the kit is lighter, smaller and quieter than I imagined. It inflates my tyres from around 30psi to 47 psi in about 2 1/2 minutes. Very quick and easy compared to anything else I have used at home. The couplings are all good quality and everything seems geared to professional use. The valve attachment is a screw thread, so you don't have to wait at the tyre when inflating. It can also be used to deflate as well. Check that you can access your battery easily because the unit cannot be plugged in to a lighter plug. I am very pleased with this kit. Only time will tell though........ I rated it as four stars because I have only owned it for a short while. 16/09/2012 I have changed the rating to five stars now. I have been using this for six months, and it is a quality product. Light enough to take away on caravanning holidays and certainly up to the job I bought it for.

I was looking for a compressor to pump up the tyres on my Land Rover and came across this. Most reviews seemed favourable so I thought I'd give it a go and so far I am very pleased with it. The unit is very well made, packs away neatly into it's own carrying bag and inflates tyres much faster than cheaper products. It is very quiet and doesn't have a habit of moving off down the driveway under it's own vibrations like other compressors that I have used. A couple of things to be aware of, the unit does get very hot - this is not a criticism as all compressors will. Also you need to switch the compressor off to get an accurate reading on the pressure gauge - the gauge is on one end of the airline and the on/off switch at the other. A little awkward perhaps and difficult to address but not really a problem unless you are too lazy to walk the length of the air line. In practice you soon get a feel for how much the gauge over reads during operation and don't need an accurate check. Also in the box were a couple of adapters for inflating footballs, airbeds etc. All in all I would say that it is well worth investing the extra money and buying this well built, quiet and efficient little compressor.

I was looking for a decent but relatively compact inflator for my 4x4 and caravanning needs. The problem with most similar and larger units is that they are so heavy on current, that they have to be connected directly to the vehicles battery. While this will work from a cigar lighter socket. Howeve,r this unit does push this type of socket to the limit and luckily my cars socket can cope with it’s 15 Amp current draw! But be aware, many such sockets are only able to supply 10 Amps or even less and they just will not work this unit! Because of this serious “Achilles heel”, it would have been better had the unit also came with an adapter to allow direct connection to the battery as an alternative. Which is something, I will be seeking to add to mine. The unit itself is very solid and well designed. The tailored storage bag holds it all together, while still keeping the unit as compact as possible. The air line and power lead wraps around neatly and even having a “parking” place for the power lead’s plug underneath. The switches on it, are large and feel sturdy when operated. The fitted LED light is actually quite useful. Setting the desired inflation pressure is done using a small yellow dial-come-button, which you turn to select and press to set - both the scale, then the target pressure. The scale is shown in the bottom right of the large illuminating numeric display, the chosen preset value is displayed in the top section while the current actual pressure, is displayed in very large characters in the main display area. I checked the resultant tyre pressures with a calibrated pressure gauge and found the displayed reading to be quite accurate. The unit is relatively quiet in operation and the two air cooled pump cylinders are assisted with electric cooling fans, which also appears to considerably increase the maximum continuous run-time to 30 mins (Most unit’s appear to be rated at less than half this time!). Which is very welcome, especially when dealing with 4x4 tyres. It is also noticeably quicker to do it’s job, while not up to forecourt speeds, there is however, a clear improvement over standard 12V inflators. I am happy with the purchase. I have quite a lot of equipment that needs to be inflated often (bikes, trolley for the kids, van air suspension and tyres etc. This ring rac830 will inflate a bike tyre in under 15 seconds, and it brought the air suspension from 2 to 3.5 bar in no time, 10 seconds maybe? I think it works great, but it was a bit expensive compared to other markets, still worth the extra money.

Works great, inflats quick. Only issue is in 2 cars ive used it on it blows the fuse in car. Would be better if it powered directly from car battery

Der Kompressor hat Power. Läuft, wie für solche Dinger üblich, nicht gerade im Modus eines schnurrenden Kätzchens, brüllt aber auch nicht wie ein Löwe. Wir benutzen ihn mit einem entsprechenden Wandler auch über die Steckdose und nicht nur am Zigarettenanzünder. Solides Gerät, das bei Erreichen des vorgewählten Drucks abschaltet. Alles wie es sich gehört. Einzig die Lieferung war nicht wie erwartet. Neben dem Produktkarton gab es keinerlei weitere Verpackung. Der Lieferant hat schlicht das Adressetikett auf die Schachtel geklebt, dementsprechend zerknickt kam sie an. Wie gut, dass der Kompressor eine eigene Tasche hat, sonst wäre sicher mehr passiert. Alles in allem aber ein guter Kauf.

Me ha parecido muy buen producto, hasta el momento infla perfectamente , no hace mucho ruido es bastante silencioso para otoscque he tenido, infla rapido y para a la presion que has indicado prebiamente,
