Amazingly simple & effective
The soap dispenser button does not leak! Great news so it’s non drip button makes a big difference. The brush is soft so you can actually wash up everything. Will flick soap out so keep it low on the sink. Small price to pay for such a lovely brush. I bought two refill brushes but haven’t used them yet and had this for a month. Avoid using it as a scrubber it’s not! Use the plastic edge to scrape off food and the brush to wash. I must say it’s a great little buy. Got fed up with sponge type wash up with liquid fills as they leak into the sponge and the sponge disintegrates and is un-hygienic and washing or picking off food at the end of washing up, the liquid keeps dispensing and waste of liquid is high with the sponge type. This brush does not dispense liquid unless button pressed and is easily rinsed and pops off to replace or rinse separately if required. The brush is thick and sturdy a lot of plastic yes but I’m not throwing sponges away regularly anymore.

Best washing-up brush I've used
I can't wash up without this washing-up brush now! It is sturdy, practical and well designed. Actually, the design has recently been improved so that it's now much easier to fill with washing-up liquid. The end of the handle screws off for easy filling, whereas the old one was filled via a hole in the middle, plugged with a rubber seal (which was also the 'squirt button'). This made it rather messy to fill up. The squirt button is now redesigned and is easier to press and more responsive. It's very convenient to be able to distribute soap when and where you want, unlike some brushes like this where there is just a constant, wasteful stream. So it's economical. The brush attachment itself lasts for ages: I've had mine over a year and am still only on my second brush. The bristles stay perfectly straight and in shape. If they discolour after I've washed-up up a curry or fajitas, the staining disappears after a short soak leaving it white and fresh again. When the brush has finally had its day, replacements are available in packs of two. This is stiff enough to wash even pans with bits stuck to the bottom and there is a scouring pad attachment (available separately) for your baking sheets and so on (they're non-stick safe). It's very easy to change heads, they just pull off and snap back on with no mess even when the brush is full of liquid. Naturally, if you've got something like roast spuds stuck firm to the bottom of your roasting tray you might need something a little more serious than this, but I use it for almost everything. It doesn't damage my expensive steel pans or my cheaper non-stick ones and is also great for giving the sink a little scrub round after I've washed up. It gets regularly disinfected. It then sits in its tray (available separately) which is worth buying because it has a drip collector and keeps your sink area tidy and dry. I really wouldn't be without this now. Let's face it, washing-up's really not worth discussing, in the scheme of things, but this brush does make it less of a chore for me.

Great idea but not perfect (durability issues resolved?!)
I've bought many Oxo kitchen utensils from Amazon.co.uk and I've always got nothing but high quality at a low price. I like the idea of this dish brush as I often feel like I'm wasting time, water and dishwashing liquid when I try to wash a single dish. Even though the handle of this brush is bulkier because of the soap container, it's really comfortable to hold and actually a bit more ergonomic than dish brushes with thinner handles. The soap squirting mechanism works pretty well although, if you don't use extra water, you need more than one squirt to be able to clean a pan or a container. This leads to the soap container getting empty within a week. While this a great dish brush, it does have three issues with its design. The brush head comes off a bit too easily and it might even happen during dish washing. Moreover, the bristles of the brush aren't the best I've seen. You need to really scrub some of the tougher stains in order to get them off. Finally, while the size of the brush has its advantages, it makes cleaning tall cups and mugs a bit hard.I do recommend this brush as you will probably save a lot of water and dishwashing liquid using it. However, the bulkier design has its problems.UPDATE (08/2016): This is still my go-to brush as the squirting mechanism is amazingly handy if you want to save water, dish soap and time. However, there seems to be a design flaw in this brush. The rubbery material used on the squirting mechanism button isn't durable as I've had two brushed break in about six months (I stored the brushed in their own rack and pushed the button only 2-5 times per day). For a brush with exchangeable brush heads (which implies that the body of the brush is not disposable and should last for a long period of time), this is unacceptable. I contacted Amazon on this matter, but they were not able to send me another replacement brush. However, I did contact OXO directly and did get customer service. Moreover, OXO informed me that apparently they have improved the design so hopefully they have made the button more durable.UPDATE #2 (08/2016): I'm glad to report that OXO has indeed improved upon the design of the brush by making the soap dispensing button more stiff (when pushed, it only bends just a little bit) thus minimizing the wear and tear.

Superb, lasts ages
So glad I could finally get the new heads. Purchased the full brush unit about 4 months ago and all is still fine, just coming to the time to change for sanitary reasons, as only so much a run through the dishwasher can do.Will continue to purchase and just an excellent brush all round. Really sturdy bristles, flip it over and you can scrape off stuck on gunk. Holds a good amount of washing up liquid and each dispense never wastes any. So it's actually making washing up liquid last longer. Win win!Again, Oxo are THE superior household brand!
