Polar Bluetooth WearLink 92043574 Chest Strap M to XXL

I have been looking for a reasonable priced non-BLE heart monitor (to be compatible with my Nexus 7 2012 edition) and I am glad I've picked this one. All working perfectly fine, it has a replaceable lithium battery that it is said to work for 150h... I still have lots to go :)

Some issues in connection, hopefully these notes will help other people.1. I couldn't see the device in a BT scan. This is because the device only turns on when you actually wear it.2. Despite having paired the device and apps allowing me to select it, I was not seeing any data in HRM applications.Applications I tried -Cardio TrainingHeart Rate Monitor for PolarHeart Rate Variability (simple application for testing)iCardio (Test function only without HRM sensor upgrade)Noom CardioTrainerEventually I managed to get a HR to display in the iCardio test page by ensuring the strap and pads were wet under the tap, I also wet my skin where the sensor contact will be. It seems that just moistening the pads with a little water is not enough.3. Once I got a stable signal, I then tried switching to another app (Cardio Training). This failed to see the device until I unpaired it and paired it again.So now it's working. Using the Cardio Training app during a 40 minute interval workout with the phone 2 metres from me. During this test it dropped signal twice; Once when I went to get water from another room (expected) and again when I went into child's pose to cool down a little. It is stated that the BT signal is not strong enough to get through your body, so again, the latter is also expected.Update after 10 days use: Working excellently. I do not need to unpair/pair the device from my phone before use each day with the Cardio Training app. Assuming device is already paired, all I do is - Wet strap, wet skin, put on strap, attach sensor, run app on phone - heart rate displayed.

I have a Samsung Note 2 and the iCardio Apps and the transmitter works great. I don'y know if the 'branded' ones (Nike and Adidas) work with non-branded apps.

Bought this to use with my nexus 5 and runkeeper.It is not compatible. :-(Polar support was kind enough to tell me this was definitely impossible when I emailed them. Tried to work this through their app.

After ordering a heart rate monitor which didn't work with my Nexus 4 and Endomondo, this one does. Easy to set up too.

Works perfectly with my Samsung Galaxy Note, have some trouble with on or other app, but fits perfectly to many apps.

Since purchasing this item I have had significant problems getting the App on my phone to detect / connect to the device. I am using Run keeper. Even when completely wet, the Bluetooth device does not always connect with the phone/ App. I have tried it on other Apps just to rule out Run Keeper as the problem and it did the same with those. I did a cycle route last night with no problem - played tennis for a couple of hours and then tried to set the device for the return journey - it was not having it at all. I am using a Samsung Galaxy Ace phone which is stated as compatible; which it is. But be warned you may have to try many times to get it to connect

Excelente producto, el ùnico pero sería que no pude sincronizarlo con el app Android de Polar, tuve que instalar una que se llama Sportypal.

It was difficult to find a heart rate monitor to go with my samsung galaxy nexus android and runtastic pro as their are many conflicting posts online but this works perfectly, paired right away after i put it on and used the default pairing code 0000.Would recommend to anyone that has runtastic pro app on Android.Love it.

Va de maravilla. Lo he usado ya un mes entero, casi a diario durante entre 40 min y 2 horas, y todavía no le he tenido que cambiar la pila que traía. Conecta sin problemas al BT, cómodo de colocar y de limpiar...A veces no conecta pero es cuestión de mi móvil Android, que también lo hace con el manos libres del coche y otros aparatos. Se soluciona en 5 segundos simplemente apagando y encendiendo el BT del móvil.Pensaba que iba a consumir más pila, pero no me parece mucho consumo y las pilas estas son muy baratas por internet (no hace falta comprar las Polar que las venden a precio de oro). La junta de goma de momento está perfecta.Lo he utilizado sin ningún problema con Endomondo, Sports Tracker y algunas más.

Vorrei partire dalla conclusione, poi, chi vorrà approfondire, leggerà oltre, se vorrà.Amazon ha una gestione delle vendite per certi versi sorprendente: oserei dire migliore di molti negozi convenzionali distribuiti sul territorio (le cinque stelle sono proprio per Amazon).Ho ordinato il prodotto giovedì mattina e l'ho ricevuto venerdì mattina. Ancora più lodevole la gestione dei resi.La fascia cardio Wearlink Bluetooth funziona perfettamente con Sportstracker 1.8.5 e HRnavi 1.30, mentre con Runtastic Pro 4.4.1 ed Endomondo 9.2.0 manifesta evidenti problemi di stabilità di collegamento e consumo smodato della batteria (batteria a zero dopo 40 minuti di utilizzo).- - - ApprofondimentoDopo essermi letto decine di feedback sul prodotto, prevalentemente per capire se poteva essere compatibile col mio telefono Android, decido per l'acquisto, scegliendo, e pagando, per la consegna garantita in 24 ore.Puntuale come un orologio svizzero, la mattina dopo ricevo il pacco.Ho due telefoni e le prove sono state effettute su entrambi:- Samsung i9001 Galaxy S Plus (bluetooth 3.0) flashato con Cyanogenmod custom rom e con Android 4.3.1;- Smartphone cinese No.1S6 (bluetooth 4.0) originale con Android 4.2.1.Va anche detto che ero estimatore/utilizzatore di Runastic Pro (regolarmente acquistato) e l'intento iniziale era quello di usare la fascia cardio come fisiologico complemento del suddetto software.Su entrambi i telefoni la fascia viene rilevata subito da Android ed il pairing avviene immediatamente (bagnate bene la superficie di contatto con la pelle per attivare il cardio).Nonostante Android rilevi tutto correttamente, Runtastic, dopo il collegamento (anche il programma deve rilevare il cardio... non solo Android), perde spesso il pairing e le rilevazioni vengono registrate a singhiozzo. Non solo... in meno di 40 minuti la batteria della fascia si è completamente esaurita !!! Il chè rendeva, di fatto, lo strumento inutilizzabile: una sessione di moutain bike può durare anche 4-5 ore...Ipotizzando difetto/anzianità della batteria originale, ne ho subito comprata una nuova e l'ho sostituita ri-eseguendo nuovamente tutte le prove anche sull'altro telefono (giusto per non lasciare nulla al caso). Runtastic, anche sull'altro telefono, rileva a singhiozzo il segnale e la batteria decade a vista d'occhio (90% - 50% - 10% in meno di un'ora) :-(A quel punto ho chiesto ad Amazon la sostituzione del prodotto, pensando che fosse cortocircuitato o chissachè.Ebbene, ho richiesto la sostituzione domenica pomeriggio e martedì mattina avevo già una nuova fascia addosso !Non solo, ho anche una lettera di vettura pronta per spedire indietro il primo esemplare in modo totalmente gratuito.Ricominciano le prove...Estrema delusione: anche la seconda fascia manifesta gli stessi sintomi e, sconfortato, non so che fare.Anticipando la morte della batteria anche di questa nuova fascia, ho provato ad installare Endomondo, nella speranza che potesse risolvere.Niente da fare: anche Endomondo presentava frequenti disconnessioni, rilevazione a singhiozzo e consumo velocissimo della batteria.Prendo il telefono e chiamo Polar Italia ed un tecnico, peraltro davvero disponibile, tra le varie ipotesi, mi suggerisce anche di provare SportsTracker.SportsTracker vede la fascia con una prontezza insperata (Runtastic ed Endomondo tergiversavano anche per fare il collegamento iniziale) e la visualizzazione del battito è praticamente istantanea. Non si disconnette mai ed il consumo di batteria è, finalmente, normale.La mia personale conclusione, sulla base dei risultati delle prove che ho fatto, è che non sia Android a non permettere il funzionamento corretto della fascia con lo smartphone, ma il modo in cui le applicazioni si interfacciano con la fascia via radio.Ulteriori prove hanno dimostrato che anche HRnavi si connette istantaneamente in modo stabile ed apparentemente senza divorare batteria (anche se non l'ho usato moltissimo, per la verità).Mi illudo di aver risolto eliminando Runtastic pro (di cui prima ero pienamente soddisfatto), scartando Endomondo e promuovendo SportsTracker come strumento cardio ufficiale per mie escursioni in MTB e jogging :-DConcludo, infine, con un doveroso plauso alle procedure di gestione resi di Amazon.it, ringraziando Cristina P. del customer service per la sua gentilezza/solerzia, nonchè il tecnico della Polar Italia che mi ha seguito così appassionatamente (purtroppo non gli ho chiesto il nome, ma meriterebbe menzione).Spero che questa recensione possa essere utile a chi ha o potrà avere problemi usando la fascia.- - - Ulteriore ed ultimo update...Alla fine, mio malgrado, ho restituito la fascia. Ulteriori prove sul campo mi hanno portato mestamente alla conclusione che fascia BT + cellulare non è proprio il miglior equipaggiamento per il mio modo di fare sport (running + mountain bike).Ennesimo e definitivo plauso alla gestione Amazon, ottimo interlocutore sia per le vicissitudini relative alla fascia cardio, ma anche per l'acquisto del mio nuovo Garmin Edge 510; non proprio allo stesso budget, ma decisamente un altro pianeta :-)

Ce cardiofréquencemètre remplit très bien son rôle. Il peut être relié en Bluetooth avec tous les téléphones compatibles et s'utilise avec une liste d'applications définie sur le site de Polar. Pour ma part, je l'utilise avec Endomondo sur un Galaxy Nexus, il n'y a rien à redire, les mesures semblent précises, l'appareil capte très bien le signal. Après une semaine d'utilisation, la ceinture se fait finalement très vite oublier quand on court une fois le bon réglage trouvé. Petit bémol, l'indicateur de batterie semble indiquer déjà la moitié d'utilisation, à voir sur la durée. En bref, un bon appareil, à un prix raisonnable, pour mesurer ses performances sportives.
