I purchased the Makita BL1850 18V 5 Ah Lithium-Ion Battery for my cordless power tools, and it has been an absolute game-changer. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a professional, this battery delivers excellent performance and reliability. The battery life is exceptional. With the 5Ah capacity, I can work for hours without needing a recharge, whether I'm drilling, cutting, or using my power tools for heavier jobs. Even with high-demand tools, the power remains consistent throughout the charge, with no noticeable drop-off in performance as it gets closer to empty. The charge time is also impressive. It charges relatively fast using my Makita rapid charger, and I’m back to work in no time. Good value battery. Always keep a spare love the fact they are rechargeable.

This is a genuine Makita 3AH battery at a cheaper price than the copy ones that often appear. Three of my Family use Makita 18 volt cordless tools and we always buy genuine batteries. Our oldest 18 volt Makita batteries date back to 2008, are still going strong and most are used everyday, some in an industrial setting. The 3AH battery is obviously been discounted as people now go for higher powered batteries but these 3AH are the only ones that fit our older Makita 18 volt tools as the 4 & 5AH battery's do not. This battery will also fit the newer Makita 18 volt tools and has the 4 "charge power left" lights that newer batteries have. At the £22 each that I paid there is no reason to buy copies!

I've been using Makita 18V LXT compatible tools for the last 10 months or so on an almost daily basis. I switched from Bosch professional series corded power tools to eliminate cables from my working environment as much as possible. So far the LXT batteries have been very reliable.... Generally I will work with the tool (drill, planer, circular saw) until the battery is nearly run flat. The Makita's tend to stop when they cannot draw enough current. The recharge typically takes about 20 mins or so. There has been some questions on reliability and battery life drain but I have not experienced them so far. The batteries themselves are light weight and are easy to handle when loading and unloading from the tools. The plastic casing seems to be pretty robust and has survived several bumps and scraps and falls. I have not converted to the 4Ahr batteries yet as I will need to buy a complete new set of Makita's.

Me ha sorprendido... Hecha en Vietnam. Pesada y fuerte. Se carga bien. Ahora sólo queda usarla y ver cómo se va gastando... Como detalle indicar que me enviaron el modelo nuevo BL1830B... lo que es mejor, y mas interesante.

I have been using this product for a couple of years and it and never failed to hold a charge and recharges quickly. I would buy another one with hesitation.
