HD Powder

Great product. I love ELF's range. I am fairly new to makeup; I started suffering from adult acne aged 30 so wanted to cover it up without angering it. Since then I've delved into actually wearing makeup. I couldn't find a face powder that didn't look caked on or that didn't make my face look dry and withered. A little (very little) goes a very long way. Pop a tiny bit on you powder brush and blend it right in. Sets your foundation invisibly. This is a product review so it is getting 5* as I love the product, but the packaging is messy. DO NOT remove all of the tape that covers the holes in the cover of the loose powder, or it gets everywhere. I have just punctured a couple of holes through the tape so I can tap out what I need, and minimum product escapes when I open the lid.

Lovely powder for any skin tone, it needs to warm up on your face in order for it to not look so pasty, so give it a while after you put it on top of your foundation etc. the best thing about this powder is that it gives you a matt look that looks great in photos. The down side is the powder puff they put in packaging, now body uses powder puffs. I took of the plastic protecting sticker that covers the little holes, then I put my giant kabuki make up brush on top, turned it upside down then back round. I end up with a little bit of the HD powder on my kabuki brush which I then apply in circular motions to my face. This powder is good for setting make up but cannot be used to alter the colour of your make up, eg: tone down, lighten or darken etc.

Love this powder - it's one of the finest I've ever used. It's not matt, it's not light reflecting - it just sets make up, without settling into wrinkles and imperfections. It's white, but it doesn't lighten your face and I've not noticed it changing the colour of my foundation and concealer at all: most powders - even the most 'translucent' powders - almost always do so, or make the make up oxidise after a few hours, but elf keeps the colour true. It also doesn't seem to accumulate in pores as the day goes on (although I use a makeup setting spray which also helps). I am totally in love with the elf brand. Amazing value and some fab products (I also use the HD under eye powder - it's even finer than this powder). If you're buying a few products, it's cheaper to buy off their website than on Amazon.

Not a bad powder but unfortunately too shimmery for my very oily skin.

This is magical. I used to wear wet foundation with normal powder over the top. I was getting fed up with looking cakey or massive pores. I bought this on a whim and I am so pleased. I still wear my foundation and pat this over the top (check YouTube tutorials). Then a bit of bronzer over top on my cheeks and good to go. I look flawless like the girls on instagram! Makes everything better. It's great to take away that shine. I'd like a smaller pot for touch ups during a long day. I will buy this over and over and have recommended to every girl I know. I will never go back to using normal powder. Love it! Massive pot as well. I've worn every day for 2 months and only dented it.

Really impressed with this product ! I have a very rough skin texture, acne scars, large pores, and this powder really minimise them and make my skin overall look better than ever. I was looking for a makeup forever hd powder dupe and honestly, it's just as good ! It's just a bit messier to use, but just as good, I'm very happy with this purchase and I really recommend it. I usually press the powder with the little sponge that comes with it on the large pores and bad areas, wait a little, and then just dust it off with a powder brush.

This is so glittery. Truly awful and doesn't do what it claims. I used a small amount and my face is like a disco ball.

Faccio questa recensione dopo tre mesi di utilizzo È la cipria correttiva perfetta per chi ha un sottotono molto caldo e tutti i correttori e fondotinta creano un effetto grigiastro sul viso (ho la carnagione medio-scura). A primo impatto il colore neon intimorisce e infatti non è da usare come prodotto per baking o come cipria normale, ne serve pochissima e quindi dura anche molto. Io la utilizzo dopo la cipria normale, fisso tutto con uno spray e l’effetto è pazzesco Nell’ultima foto ho fatto uno swatch di questa cipria (a dx) e di un’altra cipria color “banana”(a sx), la differenza è abissale

Excellent for baking face in a natural tune for warm under tone complexion. Price is lower compared to other brands. Complete value for money. But make face little bit dry. Good for summer use.
