I bought myself a nice Asus 27 inch monitor which had HD capabilities and need to get myself a cable which would allow me to connect my Macbook air so that I could take advantage of the full capabilities of the monitor and the Macbook air itself.I did a lot of research looking at different options to ensure that it had both the capabilities and was also cost effective. This cable supports full 1080p HD and has worked wonderfully with my device of choice. The length is reasonable so that I can feed it down the back of my desk and then round back up to the monitor and I feel that due to its length it could work with an entertainment system unit if needed.I have been using this for over two years now so I am also able to vouch for the durability and build.

This is a great product.It lets me and my family enjoy the MacBook on the TV. I can play games on a larger screen with a quality picture. We can watch our favourite YouTube videos from the TV.The wire is robust and a great length.The only negative I have had is that the sound does not travel through the cable to my TV.Other than that, I am impressed with the quality. I would recommend this to anyone. It has changed the way I use my laptop.Thanks for a great product, and a complete steal of a price.

Direct link between a MacBook(Air) and a television set for image and sound. In fact your television set becomes your screen. Working perfectly and easily. Much more reliable and continuously working than WiFi equivalents like Apple TV.The price is very attractive, sadly less so the transport cost to Belgium. But, to be fair, the delivery was even quicker than announced.

I always find that when you get HDMI to macbook adapters they always seem to stop working after a short while which is why I oped for just a lead which does the same thing this time. So far it's been working perfectly. The lead is nice and thick so quite durable if you're trying to contort it round a variety of inputs behind the telly. I was happy the hdmi port is long and white so it's easy to find and also easy to label with a sharpie should you have a few different connections in the back - you can probably figure out that the back of my tv is an unorganised mess and that's more my problem. Basically if you are looking for a connector to your macbook with a long cable - look no further.

NOT Thunderbolt 3 compatible! I'm new to all of this Thunderbolt / USB Type-C terminology, and have been unwittingly fooled. Seeing "thunderbolt" I had figured that this was exactly what I needed for my 2017 Macbook- but alas no! I opened it up to realise the error, and released a single hollywood tear of disappointment that I had not found the holy grail of cables as previously thought. "Oh well, at least I bought it through Amazon! I'll just get it sent back" I thought. But I could not just get it sent back. Oh no I could not at all my friends, as for some reason this item isn't eligible for returns. And so, I bestow a half star to express my concern with the lack of clarity over the Thunderbolt type, and another half for not making the refund policy clear. I would give less but I don't think I can :(

I wanted to put my macbook pro screen picture onto my toshiba hdtv. My mac does not have Airplay so an adapter and cable was my only way of doing this. The product description advised me to check for a display port on my mac as all do not have them. Mine does so away I go to join the party. The connections at either end of the cable fit snugly and I have perfect sound and picture...it just works. One point eight metre length is a convenient length so I have a good space to set up in. White is a good colour and it is firmly made. It was delivered quickly and in good time. Addressed clearly and wrapped securely by the sender. A price of £6, I thought was good value.

Cheap, well built, strong cable, plugs in tightly, horrible gloss finish.I am using an XPS l321x (xps 13) with windows 7 and have found this to not work on all monitors. My room monitor is not detected at all with this cable.On a Samsung TV however it will work straight away (only through HDMI 1. does not work through HDMI 2, 3, or 4).Giving it three stars as it IS advertised as for macbooks, but I don't see the difference between a macbook minidisplay port and an xps 13 minidisplay port. Any ideas?

The cable I received, arrived fast and in a secure packaging. I have been using it with my MacBook Pro 15" along with my Phillips flat screen smartTV and everything works right away, no additional drivers (well of cause not) and what-so-ever! Crisp picture and sound are being transmitted via this cable. Also I had it hooked up to a MacBook Air and an older Sony smartTV with same results! This cable works and I love that I do not have to carry around an adapter, a VGA-cable and a double jack stick anymore. This cable takes care of it all. Bear in mind though that using this with apple computers, your device must not be from before 2010 as they do not support audio and therefore you have to connect a double jack stick for sound. 5 stars - would definitely recommend
